I liked your prealoader ^^.

Well, the main menu looks quite nice, but you should choose a darker colour for the text, as it is quite hard to read. It's a good thing that the text turns black when one hovers the mouse over it.

It's nice that you provided us with a mute button, as it can be quite annoying to listen to the same songs over and over again. But why did the first song always starts again whenever I click the "next" button, even though I turned it off the previous frame? You should try to fix that.

The layout of this tutorial is quite good. However, it would be a good idea if you'd name the single "steps", so that it will be easier to go to the chapter one was looking for. "Step 1, Step2, etc." aren't that helpful when looking for information about a specific theme.

What hurts this tutorial the most is the small text. It's really hard to read in combination with the font you chose. So either add an easier to read font or make the text bigger.

I see yor point. I wanted the Step selcectio to Sync with the step, so on every individual step the song would start. I am not an expert on that subject, so it was a bit makeshift. I put the tutorial under the pretense that you watched it beofre so if you were to select form a scene, then you would like to go to a specific step.
I will fix the text next time.
Thanks for your review.

It's quite a good tutorial and you managed to write it in an "entertaining" way. I appreciate your effort as it seems that most tutorials (not necessarily flash tuts) are mostly quite boring.

However, the flash gives out a very "messy" impression.
I think it would be better to put the buttons in the main and sub menu on the right side of the text. This way all the buttons would be lined up pretty well and it would look a lot less "messy".
I also missed some descriptions or images on your buttons, so that it would be obvious what a button does before I click it (the word "next" on the button that brings me to the next page would tell me exactly that even before I click the button). This would also help to "clean the flash up" a bit.
Then, a button that takes me straight back to the main menu would be a nice thing to have, too. This way I would have to click around so much, if I want to read "Making a button" and then "Action Script" after that for example.

So, the tutorial is quite helpful but it needs a better layout.

Thanks for the review. If I make another one, I'll do what you said about adding the buttons on a sub menu.

Again, thanks for the review.

First of all, I think I discovered a bug: The flash loaded, then I pressed "Play" and suddendly all the memes appeared on the screen and I was back at the start screen. Ok, so I pressed play again and then "begin" and the music started to play a second time.
So I had the song playing in the background twice.

Ok, to the flash:
Sometimes the text was in front of the image and thus was very hard to read. You should fix that by simply checking if the text is below the image.

I really don't know what this was all about and I couldn't be bothered to read all the text. The few things that I did read seemed to be quite funny, but I still don't know what this is about...

The filesize seems to be way too big. You just had some small and simple pictures and some text in this. So I guess the song you added pumped up the filesize. You should compress the audio more. You don't need to put the mp3 in 256kbps in there. 128 (or even 96kbps) are enough. This way you won't have such a big file.

Incorrect. It's AWESOME.

AWESOME.

Repititive

It's a nice game, but it's VERY repititive and it get's boring pretty fast.

Carpo-ink responds:

...ok, i'll try to make it not repitive(Changeing of sky colour, changung of BG, new enemies ever 5 levels etc.)

Great game

It's a great game with (more or less) well thought out levels. The graphics were simple but fit well in the theme.

Some criticism:
- Reset the levels automatically. I don't want to click "Reset level" everytime I fell off a platform.
- Your levels need "walls". I once walked out of the screen and had to reset the level.
- Add some sound (i.e. jumping sound, background music, a "level finished"-jingle)
- Add some more levels.

That's all I can think of right now.

Alkaliho responds:

thanks!!, nice usefull response.
Didnt thought about the automatic reset thingie yet, ill implement it in the next one =).

I don't like dress ups

I don't like dress up-games, for they are normally really crappy. But yours is very well excecuted and it contains nice graphics.
I also liked, that you could "change" the face (ie the expression, etc.).
And I liked, that you didn't add sound to it. Most dress up-games contain very crappy and annoying music, yours did not. Nice.

But your flash didn't contain any backgrounds as well. Maybe you can add some.

Jewelschan responds:

I know what you mean about the quality of most dress up games. I wanted to make sure everything looked nice. Again, I don't like adding sound since I know I don't have the same taste as other people and of course, when I'm listening to *MY* music, I don't want to have to turn it off to play something like a simple dress up game.

Backgrounds? I'm not very good at those, however if I do make another dress up game, I'll consider it. Thank you. =)

Nice

It's a nice little game. And very addictive, too. Good work!

GameBalance responds:

thanks

Good work

Hey, that was really good. I liked the graphics and the animation (especially the lip sync!).
The voice acting wasn't that great, try to improve on that.

MadCproductions responds:

yea the voice acting wasnt great.

but thank you for feedback

Great Game

It's a great game but I really missed a "undo" button, so that you can undo your last action. I klicked "next card" serval times and noticed then, that I could have used the card before.

Funnytowers responds:

hi there and thank you for your comment!!
we have thought about it before a little, and still dont know if undo would be fair.. personally i agree with you, but there are some problems with the upcoming difficulty.

we might consider 1 or 2 undos per level on our next update :)

Never liked...

that kind of game
