Nice again

Hm, this really reminds me of Radiohead's album "Pablo Honey", there they have songs that sound pretty similar to this one.
I also had the feeling that this was the intro to some series, at least for the first minute or so.
But of course this song is too long for an opening song.

Anyway, it really sounds nice and I like this a lot.

RADIOHEAD? That's pretty damn flattering.
But, come on, there has to be something weak about this song.
Like the lack of vocals. haha

Another great song

A very nice rock song. Definatly one of the better ones you can hear on NG. Even Though it has a quite simple structure and not too difficult parts (at least so far I can tell ;) ) it is an amazing song that has very nice melodies and it just makes fun listening to it.

This song really proves that you don't have to create complex song structures and fast soli to record a kickass rock song. ;)

Great

Very great song. All instruments work quite well together here, nothing stands out too much, which is a good thing when playing as a "band".

The drum riffs are a bit too simple, but "simple" doesn't equal "bad". It fits quite well in the song.
I like the melody the guitar is playing, it sounds pretty nice.

Too bad that vocals are missing here. I think the song would be even better with a vocalist singing to it.

Cornilious responds:

Yeahhh. Vocals.
I'm still trying to figure out how I want the vocals to sound.
My voice is alright so I'll try out a couple things once I get a nice mic and USB adapter. Hopefully this will be soon.

Relaxing

I'm very tired right now, so this song was just the right thing for me, heh.
It is very relaxing, which is a good thing. I can close my eyes and just listen to the song without having to fear that it suddendly "screams" at me or gets uncomfortable with loud noises or fast drum beats.

Here I can just close my eyes, relax and enjoy the nice melody.
Speaking of the melody: It reminds me of warm (but not too warm) summer days, it just has the same happy feeling to it a kid (or even an adult) would feel while running over a field...

Very nice work!

you just described the weather that I was working during perfectly. :) it was rainy and kinda chill and I was just praying for a nice sunny day. :)

lol, shoulda called the song sundance. :)

and thanks for the review!

Sounds familiar

Strange, I think I heard something like this before, but it wasn't your song as I remember reviewing it... but here's no review from me, so it can't be your song I listened to.

Anyway, I think the idea to use 8-bit sfx to create the song is really nice and you did an awesome job of creating a nice beat and an even better melody.

It starts off a bit slow but gets better and better the more sounds you added.

Only the outro needs some more work. It just ends too abruptly.

fallensoul289 responds:

Yeah it does end to adruptly. But anyways I'm glad you like it.

Slow start

It sounds really generic at the start, but when finally the voices set in it gets much better.
Too bad it takes over 2 minutes for the vocals to start, an impatient listener might not listen that long.
But it's a good thing that the song goes on for over 6 minutes after the vocals set in, so the patient listener is rewarded with a very nice song after the quite long wait. ;)

Yay

You don't sound male

More like a woman. Sorry. :P

But anyway, it doesn't matter how you sound, the most importan thing is that it fits to the song. And it does fit indeed. I'm not a fan of effects on voices, but here they fit pretty good to the rest of the song.
It's also nice how the vocals don't stand out too much. They go along very nice with the other instruments.

Overall it's a nice and relaxing song, just the right thing if you come home after a long and hard day.

However, I don't like the speed up ending of the song. It destroys the relaxing atmosphere.

cool. Yeah. I agree.

Nice

It sounds pretty generic at the beginning, but when suddendly that "jumping noise" popped up it was clear that this isn't your everyday techno song.

I like how you added various parts to the song, this makes it a lot less generic and more interesting to listen to. Also the sound of the main beat is nice and creates quite a happy atmosphere.

Thanks im really proud of this piece. maybe i will be able to make a new one in the near future

Sounds good

This sounds pretty good. Very minimalstic, but I like what you created. The effect on the voices fits pretty well to the rest of the song and I like how they are "embedded" into the sound of the other instruments.

I especially liked the drums, they offer a nice beat.

Even though the song is relativly short (not even 2 minutes long) it "feels" like a much longer song. Maybe that's because of that little bridge between the verses.

The outro is done nicely as well with the stopping instruments and the voice that slowly gets quieter.

I noticed there's a hughe static sound right at the end, you may try to get rid of that as it is hihgly annoying.

HolyKonni responds:

Actually, the drums is the only thing I didn't make, they are samples I donwloaded. :) Static is annoying, yup, gotta fix that later maybe. Thanksfor the review!

Epic

A very long but very epic piece. I like the slow fade in, it kinda foreshadows in which direction this song is going: Nice and calm.

But there's more to it that just some nice and calm sounds. Sometimes a very creepy atmosphere lingers in the background, waiting to break free (at around 2:07), but it somehow never makes it all the way through to the foreground.
This gives the song a very interesting touch.

Also, even though the song breaks the 7 minute barrier it doesn't get boring one single second! Good job!
