The beat sounds very nice. The bass is great and those percussions really fit into the song. Makes it almost sound like a Drum 'N' Base song ^^.

Unfortuneatly the beat gets repititive quite fast, so it's a good thing you added some voice samples into the song. They sound... well, wicked. Just like the song title promised ^^ and they also keep the song from getting too repititive.

The loop is done perfectly, if it weren't for the progress bar I couldn't tell where the song starts and where it ends!

Hmmm... maybe I should change the genre to trance so I don't get beaten over the head with this repetitive stuff :P

I agree that variation would really help... now I just gotta figure out what else to throw in there.

Thanks for the review

Well, just like APF already mentioned, this song is in dire need of vocals! The beat is nice, and so is the melody (reminds me a bit of some 80's songs, heh), but there's something like lyrics missing here.

Right now the song is neither fish nor fowl. But it has really great potential, I think. So you should work even harder on it to get it completed! :)

I hoped that song would speed up a little bit after the intro, but it doesn't... oh well.

However, a few more changes from the main beat sure would be nice and also add a lot more diversity to it. Especially the first 2 minutes or so are extremly repititive and it gets a bit dull after listening to the beat for such a long time.

So, it's a very good thing that you designed the song far more interesting after those 2 minutes and added a lot of very cool (and sometimes even quite scary) effects to the song.

Thanks for the review man, yeah it has become totally clear to me now that I really need to change the beat alot. I think i'm gonna change the bass so that it is at least slightly different in every phrase as well.

It was sort of meant to be a piece which builds, but I think it ended up sounding too repetitive.

Thanks for the review, it is greatly appreciated. James

Great song!

The intro is very nice and slow. Maybe you need to put a little more work into the crossover from intro to first verse, as right now it's very abrupt. A more soft crossover would be better here IMO.

The verses are what make this song so awesome. The beat and the voice go really well along together and you manage to create a very good flow of words and rhymes.

You really should post the lyrics, because I'm having quite a hard time to make them out (english isn't my native language and when people talk too fast it's hard to understand them ;) ).

Yes, this is VERY repititive. But if it was meant to be that way, there's nothing I could say against that ^^.

The loop is quite short, but the beat sounds very nice. You said you wanted to give the track a "dreamy" feeling. Well, I think you've done a very good job with that.

I think this track has very great potential. You can just leave it as it is now and you have a good (but repititive) loop, or you can add much more to it, as it sounds as if it was an intro to a much longer song.
Somehow this track reminds me of songs like "King of my castle" and the theme of "Captain Future", so if you ever want to create tracks like this, you can use this submission as an intro to it ^^

I don't know if this really fits into the "Dance" category, I think this would be better in the category "Video Game" (just like APF said below me ^^).

I think it's a nice song with a very good beat, but it gets a little bit repititive towards the end. You should add a few variations from the main theme to the song.

Also, the song got noticeable louder a few times, so maybe you should try to fix that (or maybe it was intended that way but I'm just too stupid to realize it ^^).

Excellent tune. Nice intro and a very driving beat. I like the purl you used every now and then in the song.

Also, the higher notes really seem to "awake" the song, as if suddendly all birds come back from their trip to the south and start singing again.

I like the outro of the song. A long and slow fade out fits perfectly there. The more so as the song starts with a slow fade in, so in a way the song does also loop ^^.

This sounds very different from your other songs I've been listening to. But it sure sounds like a Jurian song. So I guess this means you have a very unique and distinuishable style in your music.

The song sounds again very calm and relaxing and even though I think of bongos to be a more impulsive instruments they fit themselvs well into the song and sound calm and relaxing, too.

Like Coop said in his review, this sounds very much like foyer music, as it stays in the background so well.

I really like the flow of this one. It's just the kind of tune I need for today as yesterday was very busy ^^.

The sound is super relaxing. I like how the guitar and the piano go along together. They complete each other perfectly.

Only negative thing here is the sound of the guitar, but then again, it fits very good into the song.

Good job!

At first I hoped to get to hear something "Fallout-like" (talking about the PC game "Fallout" here, of course) as the songs there create an awesome post-nuclear war-feeling. I was a bit dissappointed when listening to the track for the first time.

But after listening to this a few times more I get that "post nuclear" feeling you are talking about in your description. All sounds sad and even a bit regretful and I can imagine the musicians sitting in an destroyed building and jamming along a bit.

I think you should try to get a more "destroyed" sound here. Some reverbs would be nice, and in this context even a few dissonant tunes would work. It's after a nuclear war after all, and maybe the instruments are a bit broken, too.

WritersBlock responds:

Lol, yeah. Thanks for the review. I've kind of got this ruined landscape, and these musicians with clean, polished instruments, in pristine condition, reverb should help.
Cheers.
