You had quite a lot of different effects and beats in here, but still you managed to stick to one main theme. Good job!

The quality of the sound is good most of the time. Only the distorted bass line is bothering me a bit. It would sound much better without that distortion.

Also, the song is a bit too short for my taste. You could have easily added more to it and making the song much longer that way, I think.

Thanks,

This is the first time I've tried really using a heavy bass, I probably put a little too much into it. I'm guessing it would be less distorted if I panned some of the other stuff to other sides, but its too late for me to edit it. I'd make it longer too, but I use the FL demo so I couldn't save it.

Thanks for the review!

Hey, I remember that song, heh. But I can't seem to find the old version of this, so it's a bit hard to compare those versions with each other.

I think I complained about the ending in my last review. Well, now I think the ending fits quite well there, so whatever you've done with it: It was the right thing to do ^^.

I still like the hilariousity of the many random sounds you used in here a lot. It really mades me laugh! :D

haha thanks, the old one was omgtforly blue 42 or something

and your suggestion last time is what made me realise it didnt have rediculous drums like the rest of the song, so it was you who fixed it, thanks

The melody sure is very nice and I kinda like the idea of the song.
Also the flow of the song is quite relaxing, heh.

As Gronmon already said in his review, the cymbal sounds pretty ugly. You should experiment with some other sounds there (maybe a Hi-hat would do the trick there).

My main problem with this song is, that it's missing the "big bang". It all sounds pretty nice but that's about it. Somehow there's nothing to this song that makes me wanna listen to it again. Maybe if it was played with real instruments this wouldn't be the case, so don't let that last statement discourage you ;) .

The song is very nice overall. And it's a good thing that it is so long ^^. Most Audio Artist seem to create much too short songs.

The main beat is pretty nice, but it gets quite repititive towards the end of the song. But it's nice that you added a lot of other parts to the song, that keeps it from getting boring.

I think some changes in the tempo of the main beat would be a good thing, too. You would add a bit more varity to the song that way and I think this would keep the listener interested in the song, too.

ReaperTechno responds:

The only thing is that if i were to make it faster, noticeably, the length would be gone. And granted, I wanted to make sure the tempo wasnt too slow, which it isnt, it flows nicely. What I couldve done was make the more ambient parts a slower tempo, but i was just excited to get this song out the door :D
Thanks for the review!

It's a good song overall. I like the flow of the song and the delays work quite well here.

But I miss some accentuated notes in there. I guess it's pretty hard to do that on a computer, but with some more dynamics and accents on some of the notes this would sound more interesting I guess.
Right now it flows very steady all the time, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but it's hard to keep the listener interested in the song that way.

Anyway, the song has a very great potential, you just need to improve it here and there a little bit and you'll have a little masterpiece here ;) .

Thanks for the review. Yeah, I agree with that, those details are something I should probably work harder on. Cheers.

I don't know what to think about this one. It's definatly not bad, but it's no kickass song either...

Sometimes the sounds in this one remind me of some songs from Kraftwerk, or even Beastie Boys (they like to throw in some unusal tunes as well ^^).

This track sounds very much like you experimented a lot with different sounds and I always like it when musicians mess around with differen tunes and effects. Sometimes something outstanding will be produced that way, so just keep it up! ^^

if you ever need a theme tune for those cillit bang ads give me a call

This definatly sounds interesting. You used quite a few nice beats and rhythms in here.

However, some of the change overs from one part to another part are a bit too abrupt in my opinion. For example the change over at 0:38. The song starts of pretty quiet and then suddendly *BAM* the bassy sound starts to play.
I think you should work on that a little to get smoother change overs.

thanks for taking the time to review:)

i agree that smooth changes rather that the quietquietquiet-LOUD!!!!!
sections would make the song alot more smooth and easy to listen to,
but ive always been fond of scary and irritating music
which probably isnt for everyone.

I kinda like this one. It starts off very slow, but builds up speed towards the middle of the song, where you also add a few more instruments and thus adding a lot more variation to the song.

Right now it all sounds very much like sound samples (well, and I think that's what it acutally is ^^), but it sounds nevertheless very good!

I especially like the slow ending for this one. It really fits well together with the rest of the song.

Well, either there's something wrong with my ears or there indeed ARE some dissonant tunes in there...
Anyway, whether there are dissonant tunes in there or not, this track sounds really nice! Especially if you just did that to get away from your homework, heh.

The drum track is pretty basic, but this way it doesn't distract the listener from the excellent piano work. I like how the track builds up the speed during the song. It starts quite slow but gets faster and faster the longer the track is. Nice work!
