It's OK

It's okay. It has a nice beat and a very catchy main melody. The mixing is done pretty well, all instruments can be heard clearly.

However, I think the whole song is a bit overpowered at times. While my PC speakers aren't exactly good they are still able to play music without static noises. Here I had static noises when the drum beats got louder. So maybe you have to work on the mixing again a bit (or I have to buy new speakers... ^^)

Also, I think the song gets too repititive after a while. Either shorten the song a bit or try to get some breaks in from the main beat and main melody here and there.

thank you for the advice! Like I said earlier, it's like the static yall are hearin is actually the rain sound effects i put in the song (im pretty sure). As for the overpowerment, i can strongly agree. The bass is too much. I will fix that in the near future.

Good, but too repititve at times

It's a good song, the main melody is very catchy it I bet it gets stuck in my head long after I finished this review.

I also like how you used the bongos in the second part of the song. This is very original and it surprisingly fits very well in this song.

However, the song gets a bit repititive after a while, bongos or not.

thank you for the review! The repetitiveness is a problem... yes... but ya know, this genre really aint my piece of pie ;)

Nice

Sounds a bit weird from time to time, but it's definitely a nice song!

Sometimes it sounds a bit overpowered, though. Maybe you can mix those parts a bit better (like for example at 0:56).
But at other times the mixing is perfect, no static noises from overpowered bass... strange.

I also like that the song is very varied, so it's like "I have to keep listening to this, what else will happen in the song?"
Good work!

The intro sounds indeed a bit weird, but the rest of the song is quite nice.

I've never watched Power Rangers and I don't know how the intro song sounds (I only know the "Go go Power Rangers" bit), but the music sounds pretty nice.

However, the vocals need some more work. It sounds as if you where trying too hard. Also, the timing doesn't seem to be always correct.

lol thanks for the cool review. Lol I get it man nobody likes the vocals lol.
I guess the idea I was kinda going for didnt work out due to poor quality. Oh well. Glad you enjoyed some of it lol

Nice atmosphere

This is a very good song and it contains everything you described in the comments.

It starts off very nice and peaceful. Even though it seemes as if there are some discords there right at the start. But maybe that was just imagination. Anyway, imagination or not, those "discords" fit in there really nice. It sounds peaceful, but due to the "discords" it is indicated that there's something wrong here...

Towards the end with that loud piano I feel reminded of some "Deine Lakaien" and "Goethes Erben" songs. Those are two german Dark Wave/Gothic bands, I doubt that you have ever heard of them, but still, it sounds a lot like them in the outro. ^^

ooh sweet another review from the review club :D Yep stars off very nice and peaceful. And yes, there is a sinister feel if that is what you ment by discord. Yes I see what ure saying, sinister in other words.

Lol never herd of those bands. Yep ending sounded kinda wierd. Thanks for teh review! Peaceout

Sounds so sad... *sob*

Wow, this is very touching. It's amazing how with only that little use of instruments (a piano and some strings, if I'm not mistaken).

Too bad it's so short, though. But on the other hand it's good advertising for your final song. I really want to hear it now. ;)

Thanks for the review!

The instrumentation is piano, a few strings and some brass after the key change.

I hope to get it done before too long.

White Stripes?

That was my first thought. It sounds just as simple and just as catchy as White Stripes. This proofs once more that you don't need complex riffs and melodies to create a catchy song.

The problem is that this is just an instrumental and now the simple riffs get very repititive. You change around the main theme a bit later on (at around 2:00 or so), but it's still a bit boring.

With added vocals this would definitely sound better.

Sawdust responds:

LMAO, I really did think of White Stripes when I was making this. Especially how there's only a bass drum in the beginning of the song, just like how Meg White does it, only a bass and an occassional snare :P

But, thanks! Maybe I can try adding lyrics to this, but I can't sing.

Pretty interesting

This creates a very interesting atmosphere. Some mixture of relaxing, happy and "caribbean" (but I don't know where that comes from, heh).

The melodies are nice and catchy, only the drums sound a little dull and too generic.

Also, the main beat doesn't seem to change too much in this track. A few breaks every now and then makes this more interesting to listen to.

Good

I like what Urbanus wrote in his review. This piece really sounds sad, but also has some hope in it. "Ah, next time I'll beat this boss!" *Loads last saved game*

Also, the loop is done very nice, so if anyone wants to use it in his or her game, there's no further editing needed. Good work!

thanks its really how i felt a game over theme should be i mean in a game like lets say Zelda 2 where you die then have to go all the way back to the begining ya theres no hope your sad cause it means you gotta start all over where as in a later zelda game like Link to the past you die you just start at the opening of the dungeon and you go again

thanks for the review

A nice start

This sounds very promising. I like the slow build up. The intro is very relaxing, good to calm down a bit. Then the song slowly builds up to a more dancable song.

Too bad it isn't finished and in an very early stage it seems. I would like to hear the rest of it. :)
