Good

At first I thought this would be just another annoying everyday dance beat. But after a few seconds into the song I realized that this is totally different from what I expected.

The song creates a pretty dark, almost sinister atmosphere. The vocals fit in very well and they also add some varity into the song, which is a very good thing.

glad you liked it dude

80s? Oh yeah!

Wow, from the first note on it has this 80s feel, great job! But even better, when the drums set in at 0:13 it is even MORE 80s than it was before...

Yeah, a very good song. You managed to create this atmosphere that we who where born in the 80s loved (and still love) so much. This reminds me of classic hits like "Fade to grey" or "Sunglasses At Night".

A few voice samples would've been really cool, however. If you can't sing there's always a lot of filters you can use to make spoken words sound very interesting. You should experiment a bit with various filters to see what kind of vocals could fit with this song.

heh, thanks.
I toyed with the idea of sampling some voices in.
Kinda wish I had spent more time on this, I'm going to have to go back and expirement a bit more.

Nothing to tear apart here

Yeah, I would like to tear this apart, problem is to do that there has to be something wrong with the song. But there isn't. :P

Only the slight dissonances (most noticable at 0:24) disturb the song a bit. Get rid of them and you have again an awesome song. The slow build up is very nice, I like it much better as if the song starts right away with the action.

But it's again a pity that it is so short. Make longer songs! :P

Thanks for the review!

I'm not sure I hear the dissonance at twenty four seconds, I know the harp has some inentional minor feel.

I'm definitely working on length.

Nice

Very nice and relaxing song. The melodies are very catchy and it doesn't get too boring even though the song is over 5 minutes long.

Somehow I expected something completly different when the song started. In the intro the song has a pretty creepy atmosphere, but after about 30 seconds a very light sounding melody comes in. Here's where I first realised that this song isn't going to be creepy at all, but instead very nice to listen to. :)

But a song CAN be creepy and nice to listen to at the same time, right? Anyways, thanks for the feedback!

Good but too short

This is a pretty good track, I especially like the piano, it plays a very cathy tune.

The strings are good, too, but I think it would work better if the piano and the strings would play the melody together.

Also, this track needs to be lengthened. It's a pity it's so short, not even 40 seconds long. :/

Thanks for the review.

Instrumentation is something i'm still experimenting with, and they get longer every time I write a new piece, so we'll see where it goes.

Good

A very good range of voices here, great emotions in them too (especially towards the end).

However, sometimes there are a few little static sounds, which are a bit annoying. But most of the time the sound quality is very good.

Nice demo.

You actually heard the little static sounds? xD You must've had some pimping headphones my friend, or at least headphones that weren't from the dollar store.

Thank you for pointing out that they are indeed audible. Thankfully I have a new mic now which generates close to no feedback on my mac. :)

Thanks a bunch!

Starts promising

When the intro started I thought "sounds promising", the beat you offer here is definitely good and the effects on it make it sound more interesting.

Too bad that the rest of the song can't keep what the intro promises. There's not enough variation in the song. The main beat stays the same nearly the whole song through, it's only interrupted a few times.

The melodies sound great, but it seems as if they try to hide behind the main beat. In my opinion the melodies should be much more in the foreground.

Thanks for the review. :D

I thought this track had enough melodic variation as it is, haha. I do agree that the rhythm is very repetitive though. I tried changing that, but no success. :(

Good

A pretty good song, not too repitive as most house and techno songs tend to be and very nice melodies and beats.

I like the instruments and sounds you used. They sound a lot different from what you can normally hear in the audio portal.

Nice and simple

This fits pretty good as a background theme. It's not too distracting but yet gives the player something to listen to while he's playing.

Might get a little bit too repititve after a while, though.

I really liked the voices you used at the beginning, even though they are a bit hard to understand, even for me (german is my native language ;) ).
I think there are some grammatical errors in it as well, but I don't want to be like a teacher here. The voices fit pretty good to the music, that's all what counts.

Nice one

This is a very good song. The sounds you used really remind me of an old dot matrix printer. A printer that doesn't work completly right maybe, but this definitely sounds more interesting. ^^

I like the fast paced melody that starts at about 0:48, it is really crazy and creates a pretty good atmosphere.

After the voice says "printer is jammed", it sounds a bit as if someone calls a fax (it gives some vry weird noises in the telephone if you do so ^^).

Anyway, this is a very nice song, good work"
