Effect on lead is too much

A very nice track. Maybe the effect you have on the lead guitar is a tad bit too much (a little less "blues guitar effect" would sound better here, imo) but what you play sure sounds awesome.

I also like the backing track. It sounds like typical blues stuff, but at the same time it also sounds very original, heh. Anyway, I like the result of your experiment very much. :)

thank you kindly yeah the effect on the lead may be a bit too strong was just messing around with the tone and thought it sounded bluesy so made a blues track

Bad sound quality

The sound quality of this entry is very bad, the backing track can be hardly heard. Also there are statics all over the place when you rap.

The technique seems to be very good. Especially in the beginning your rapping sounds very natural, but later on in the song it seems as if there are some pauses where you have to catch some breath where there shouldn't be pauses (for example at 1:36), but maybe that's just me.

A good song. The melodies create a very nice atmosphere (yeah, I don't smoke pot, but your song makes me want to, lol) and the background beats are very driving.

I also like the vocal samples you put in every now and then. They provide that "rasta feel" you promise in the title. :D

Only thing is that this song gets a bit dull towards the end, maybe you should try to change the beat around even more.

Haha, your review put a smile on my face.

Thank you for reviewing, and changing the beat towards the end is not a bad idea.

Short but very nice

Wow, if you can do this in only 2 hours how good are your songs if you spent some more time on them? :)

This is a very good loop. The main melody is very nice and creates a very suspenseful atmosphere (I don't know if "suspensful" is the right word here... it's an atomsphere just like before big sport events. You are a little nervous, adrenaline rushes through your body and you are happy that you can take part in said event). The background music is good as well, the two melodies complement each other in a very nice way. The main melody has a very high tune and creates this happy/"suspenseful" atmosphere, while the background melody is somewhat deeper and it sounds a lot calmer.

Too bad the loop is so short, though.

I did this in two hours thanks to the quick flash of inspiration that came from nowhere.
The image that description gave me had me thinking for a couple of good minutes, I like it!

This loop is hopefully going to turn into a full fledged song. I'll be sure to post a link on the Review Club so that you can see it!

THanks for the review :D

Good voices

Some very good voices in here. The first voice we can hear sounds a bit like Barry from the first Resident Evil. I was almost expecting to hear something like "you where almost a Jill Sandwich!". :D

Anyway, some of the voices sound very much alike, but on the other hand... they are all spoken by the same guy, right? ;)

I like how you can change your voices so quickly. For example the last voice we can hear changes from "world domination mode" to a quite confused and disappointed voice because the character forgot how he called his ultimate weapon.

I'll have to work some more on making unique, differentiable characters. That last voice is probably my favorite; it reminds me of something I might see on Robot Chicken (short, simple). Thanks for the review!

Good start

The song has a lot of potential in this early stage. The background beat is very driving and very powerful. It's just the kind of song that gets your adrenalin pumping even though you still have to sit through a cut scene and the preface of the battle (the boss is mocking you, the character mocks back and so forth). I have this feeling in my fingertips that I always get when a boss battle is about to start... I just don't want to lose a second and instantly hit him with all I got.

But the song still can be developed further. First of all it's a bit too short and could get boring after a while. And also it doesn't leave the "preface state". While my fingers are itching and I want to beat up the boss the game still isn't done with the cut scene yet.
So I suggest you try to add some more parts to the song. Some parts that are even more powerful than the "preface" and maybe even a bit faster. Or else it sounds like a really slow battle. ;)

Awesome, your feedback gives me a good direction of where I need to go with it. Thanks a lot :-)

Very nice

I like the amtosphere this song creates. It's somewhere between "spacey" and "very relaxing".

The mix between ambient and Drum N Bass is still very interesting and it fits amazingly well in this song. While you go a bit crazy with the DnB elements the Ambient elements always sound very smooth, which creates a very nice contrast.
This keeps the listener interested and it also makes the song sound very unpredictable.
