I hate previews and this flash is exactly the reason why. You show us some superb graphical skills and you also synched the flash very good with the music so that all flows together pretty nice... but I have to wait until September 2009 until I can enjoy the whole video?? I hate that... :(

Also, it's sometimes very sad to see a superb preview like this one but the final version is never released. :/

So I hope I can see the full version in September 2009! ;)

Ok, back to the flash itself. As I've already said: The graphics are awesome. Even though the colours are mostly pretty dark it's very detailed. You also had some awesome backgrounds, many artists seem to forget about the backgrounds and only throw in some half-assed stuff that lets the whole flash down at the end of the day.

The animations are good, only downside here is that big guy (the one without shades). When we can see him from the front while he is walking, it looks a bit strange. Add some more frames here and his walking will look a lot smoother.

PS: Only rating 9 because it's a preview. You'll get your 10 on the final version. ;)

yeah. i really didnt want to submit the preview but our crew needs exposure badly so i decided why not. It'll give people something to look forward to. It shall not disappoint :)

I'm impressed. At first I thought this would be another boring fighting flash with bad graphics and bad animations. But you proved me wrong.

Ok, the graphics could be a bit better (especially the backgrounds), but they are decent. The characters look quite good.

The fight scenes are very fluent and the animations here are good. Sometimes it was a bit too fast paced so that the text disappeared too quickly for me to read it.

The choice of music is excellent; the songs fit the flash very well.

I liked how you had those "fake credits" in there. It is a nice little joke.

A great flash. I liked the concept of this, though the change over from "reality" to the "dream world" could have been made a bit better. Maybe you could zoom in on the guy while cross fading (fade out the real world, fade in the dream world) into the dream sequence.

I liked how you synched the dream scenes with the background music. This worked really well and helps to experience the flash better.

I also liked the menu, it looks very professional. But you should decrease the length of the fade a bit. It's a bit boring to just sit there and stare at the fading menu, waiting for the flash to start.

Everybody seems to love the syncing. :P

The menu I made prior to the idea of this animation, it fitted the scene to I put it in. :D
The fade does take a while, I made it fade out using actionscript, same with the text that appears. :P

Thanks for the many many reviews RRC'ers. :D

That was quite unexpected. One would expect lots of blood and violence from a flash with "Madness" in it's name. It's very refreshing that you chose to create a (mostly) non-violent flash for madness day.

The animations are quite smooth and it's a pity that you didn't include other band members here. That way the viewer had something more to look at.

The biggest downside of this flash is that the movement of the arms doesn't correlate with what he is supposed to be playing. For example, when he moved his hands up the neck (towards the corpus), we could hear lower and lower notes played. But to play lower notes he would have to move his hand in the other direction, down the neck.

A good birthday flash. But I have a feeling that you should have concentrated more on the person than only on his stats.
Or split the themes between the authors. One author concentrates on the stats, the next author concentrates on the person behind the account, etc. .

Anyways, the single parts where fine. Short, but very effective. Only the part from minusnick could have had a little more content than just a picture and the "Happy Birthday to you" melody.

Hm, the song you used is 5.4 MB, your flash has a filesize of 5.5 MB... conclusion: All you add was 0.1 MB worth of FBF.

While the few frames you added looked decent it is too little to be really satisfying. Also, the background doesn't fit with the animation. A unicolored background seems to work best with those kind of animations.

Nice one. You hit the nail on the head with that flash. The iPhone MIGHT be a great phone, but it just offers too many not needed features and it seems to be that this is just another overpriced apple product that no one really needs (but everyone buys it...).

The voice acting is done very great. You managed to sound just like the announcer of a real commercial.

Some of the jokes where so stupid, that they were already funny again (like the "blue tooth" ;) ).

Overall: Great flash!

It's a very interesting flash. I like your drawings a lot. They look very clean and the animations also look very nice and smooth.

The tune you played fitted very good to this flash, even though it IS highly dissonant. ^^

Too bad that this flash is so short and doesn't offer a "real" plot, though. But I guess that is because you are still testing your tablet.

Randomness FTW!

I like how you jump through various topics while actually staying at one topic at once!

I also liked the music. Fitted perfectly to the scenery. It was cheerful and happy, just like a day at the beach should be!

It's a good thing that you slowed down the speed quite a bit. Now I was able to understand everything the first time through.

Too bad I didn't get the ending though. The text was a bit too small to read (black text on a deep blue background isn't that easy to read anyway).

The graphics are below average, but they are not bad. Did you draw everything with the mouse?

I like the background changes, as they are so random and the randomnes infuses this series with life.
