Good loading bar

First thing I noticed was of course the loading bar. I liked that it followed the mouse pointer. It added some kind of interactivity to the loading screen and thus made the wait more worth while. :)

The main menu could use some more work. The buttons where only clickable on the text, not on the spaces in between the letters. This makes the buttons somewhat harder to click.

The actual flash was very nice and you managed to synch your animations with the music very well.
I liked the dragable black dots. They added some individuality to the flash, because I can drag them whereever I want to. So sometimes they fit very well to a scene and thus makeing me experience a different scene than I would experience if I left the dots completly alone.

The buttons for "part 1" and "part 2" are a very nice idea, but they are too big for my likeing. The take up very much space on the bottom of the screen, obscuring some parts of the animations.
Also, the "Go to part 1"-button brought me back to the main menu, was that intentional?

Well, the graphics are pretty good. The shades in the opening scene could have been done a bit better, but overall everything looked good.
I didn't like that the eyebrows of the guy seemed to be in front of his hair. At least the eyebrows weren't seperated by the hair that hung in front of it.

The musical selecion is nice and so are the sound effects you added. The sound effects are a tad bit too loud, though. It would be nice if the flapping of his feet woud decrease in volume the farther away from the camera he moves.

The animations are all a bit simple or non present (ie when the guy walks away from the camera. It seems as if he's floating). But this is only a minor error and could be well explained with the fact that he was only dreaming (in dreams you can float and do other things, right?)

The story is pretty good. Simple, but good.

Some of the scenes don't make much sense to me (like the beginning scene) but seeing that this is the 3rd episode I guess it's because I haven't watched the previous two.

Anyway, your graphics range from "a bit sloppy" to "decent" to "actually pretty good". Especially in the intro scene the backgrounds where plain boring. On the other hand it seems to be some sort of a "super secret base of a super secret villain". In that case said villain propably wouldn't be a regular reader of "Better Homes and Gardens", if you know what I mean. ^^

The voice acting was quite good, even though some static sounds could be heard here and there (for example when Link speaks).
The musical selection was great, but at the end it got a bit too loud. When Mario grabbed that flag a "You've won this level!"-theme played at the same time as the background music and both of them played at full volume. Because of that we are not able to listen to any of those tracks, because both are outpowering each other. You should stop the background music, then play the "You win!" melody and then continue with the background music.

The animations are pretty good, especially in the action scenes. Everything looks quite good here and very fluent. Only when Mario walks/runs at the end it looks a bit strange. As if he pauses every two steps.

Gustavos responds:

I still don't see how the "finished level" theme is playing and the other music continues. This doesn't happen when i watch it. Mario pauses every two steps because my way of using animated symbols suck.

You probably did go back and see the previous episodes, but that first place is where the "good guys" were. I however don't suggest people watch episodes 1 and 2 because I find them very hard to watch. As the animator, it pains me to see my own faults and how I was so stupid to have done this or that. Of my four movies, the one I enjoy the most is my first. So plain, so simple, and something I wanted this episode to be a bit like.

Thanks for revewing this submission. It seems you guys are finally getting around to it.

I like the message of this flash. A very important message, I think. Even though I don't agree that the musical standard started declining in '00. Just take a look at what kind of music was at the top of the charts in the '80s and '90s. ;)
However, there have always been and hopefully always will be people who make music that is worthwhile listening to and that offers a high level of musical talent.

Anyway, back to the flash. While the message was great the graphical presentation lacked some quality. Most of the images where drawn pretty sloppy, but I think with a bit more practice and work you should be able to create very decent graphics.

The robot voice wasn't the best choice, but at least you managed to create a quite easy to understand voice. But I still think it would be better if you add subtitles to the flash.

Subtitles! That's exactly what I need... thanks a lot for you're review!

A very psychedelic flash. The background colors sometimes let me think I'm on a LSD trip or something like that. ^^

The graphcis are decent, but can be improved. They still look a bit sloppy here and there (especially on the alien).

The music is quite entertaining, but the animations don't always fit to the beat of the song. It's most noticably in the intro, where the moon (or the planet?) is bumping in tact with the song at first, but loses tact after a few seconds.

Very nice movie and a HUGHE improvement from the last two Episodes of Tywo at large (and those have already been great).

The voice acting is still as great as it was before and now the volume of the single voices are now much more balanced, which is a great plus.
Only the voice of the Janitor sounded a bit muffled.

I especially liked the change of the voices when the characters where in a different surrounding (for example when Tywo was in the funnel, the sound of his voice changed according to the surrounding he was in).
This made the voices a bit harder to understand sometimes, but overall it's a very good addition.

The graphics are awesome. Everything looks very clean and even the backgrounds are very nice to look at.

The humor is again pretty good, even though I didn't get all the jokes.

Pixmintro responds:

Thanks man, that was our actual school janitor voicing himself in the movie. I really glad to see that my movies are becoming more well-received.

OK, it's only a demo. That's a good excuse that the flash was pretty short and didn't offer that much (just a picture and a song).

The drawing was done pretty well and I also liked the "old movie effect", even though it was a tad bit over the top (maybe use thinner vertical lines).

Overall, you showed some nice skills in this short flash.
