Good movie

A good movie and a very good theory about the "disappearing socks" problem. The only loophole in this theory may be the question: Who takes the socks out of the machine?

Anyway, I liked the background in the aundromat with the mirror-inverted letters on the window. This was a nice detail.

The rest of the graphics are pretty good. They are not always the best, but it's nice to look at them. :)

The story was good. Maybe the pace of the narrating was a bit too slow sometimes, but it was definitely worth the wait. The final "battle" against that orc/troll was very funny.

Oh, and I also liked your various theroies you had in the preloader. This was a nice idea to place them there. It gives the viewer something to look at while he/she's waiting for the movie to load.

Well I suppose it could be the inhabitants of sockland who use the hook, but your right its not very well explained, it really is just a device for the rest of the story.

Otherwise thanks for the in-depth review, I'm glad you liked the movie!

Random, but good

I'm not entirely sure what this was all about, but it made me laugh. When that guy drops the bird in front of the birds activists.... priceless. :D

The graphical style is quite unique. A bit sloppy sometimes, but still very detailed.
The music fits pretty good to the setting of the flash and the sound effects you used are also quite good.

However, sometimes the scene changes are a bit too fast. For example when the elevator reaches the "free bird" floor it quickly changes to a man holding a sign, but before one can grasp what's going on there the scene changes back to the guy in the elevator. A few more frames of the guy holding the sign would be good here. There are also other ocasions where the scene changes are too quickly.

Good music video

The video was done pretty nicely. I liked the camera zooms and the movement, even though it sometimes seemed a bit too hectic, moving to the left, then a few seconds after that moving over to the right again, etc. .

The mouthes where a nice addition, so it was easy to figure out which character was supposed to be speaking, but the mouths changed their position all the time. It would be better if they stayed in one position, only changeing size and shape.
Also, the lip syncing needs some more work here, but I guess it's quite a hard thing to do that.

The most annoying thing however was that typo at the end. "Your arrested"! My what? :P

Also, the movement of the hand of the guy on the roof was a bit weird, too. He was moving his hand even though he wasn't rapping anymore. Looked a bit like he was jacking off up there. XD

But overall I enjoyed this movie. You managed to visualize the lyrics of the song pretty well. I especialy liked how that "Bizzness Woman" took out her cellphone before the actual line was sung. This added a lot of dynamic to the flash, as if everything was happening in real time and some crazy dude was just rapping about what he saw.

Yay! It was a pleasure reading your review, I especially loved the last bit as that was exactly what I was trying to capture! Thanks, it was my first time I properly worked with zooming and scrolling. Good advice, next time I'll actually spend time on syncing instead of drawing random lines when the character is speaking. Oh crap! Thanks for bringing the typo to my attention ;)! Hahah, yeah, I'll be honest, I just couldn't be bothered to do much on Plan B (the rapper), anyways, thanks for the review! ;)!

Funny

Well, the walking sound was already mentioned so often, no need to tell you that again. ^^

The graphics are pretty nice, even though it all looks pretty grainy when zoomed in. The voice acting was done pretty good. But there where sometimes some static sounds when the snowman was talking.

The flash is pretty short, but the joke is very well delivered. To be honest, I like it better when flashes are short but funny as if they are hours long and still only have one punchline to deliver.

PostTimeskipSam responds:

Glad your not pointing out the walking soundfx like everyone else =D. Anyways I'm not sure what you mean when you say grainy. Are you referring to the characters being pixelated, but that was the intention to have an animation use the Pixel Tool.

I really appericate the review, you guys at Review Request Club are truly amazing. Glad you enjoy the animation. =D Thanks again for reviewing!

Could've been better

There are some very good parts in this collab, but some of them are just awful and anoying (most of all those flashing images). Those parts should've never made it into finished movie.

The main problem here is that there isn't a main direction. All parts are just short 3 second clips. It's very hard to come up with a good joke if you only have 3 seconds to tell it. I think it would've been better if there was another major topic for this collab except for "it has to be 3 seconds long".

The song used in the collab is another problem. While the main tune is very nice and does fit to the collab it plays 2 and a half times during the collab. I think it would be better if you either used a song that is as long as the collab itself or if you played different tracks. It's a bit anoying to listen to the same song over and over again.

Good flash

Wow, this is a great flash. I loved it from the point on I first realized you used a version of the "mana mana" song (which was actually just a few seconds into the movie ^^).

I like the body language of the main character. It reminds me a bit of the old silent movies and this is sort of a silent movie. So it seems almost logical you used a slightly exaggerated body language to get your point across to the viewer and to tell the story.

I think this worked out really well and the song fits almost perfectly to the story.

However, the last scene was a bit too fast. I guess there was a ghost, but I couldn't make out what he was supposed to be doing there.

xthesnarfx responds:

The song was almost over so I wanted to keep it in sync with the credits so I just ran out of time...also I just wanted to finally finish it.

Good, but too short!

The graphics here are very nice. I especially like how much effort you put in the backgrounds. It looks much nicer if the backgrounds are as nicely done as the foreground.

The voice acting was done great, too. I like the voice of Toad. Such a little mushroom and such a deep voice. :D
However, I think the music in the introduction should be a bit lower. It nearly overpowered Toad's voice.

Also, I'm not sure if the joke at the start was really necessary. But on the other hand, it was funny... even though it didn't have anything to do with the story.

Has it's funny parts

This has it's funny parts. The Dr. Pickle Show at the beginning for example. But sometimes it's a bit boring. The ending, for example. I expected something more to happen than just a "I really tried".

The voice acting was done pretty good, but Zacharee (or Ga?) was a bit hard to understand sometimes, due to his high pitched voice.

Good sequel

This is a nice sequel to the first part. I liked the menu set up as an iPod a lot, this was a nice idea.

I also liked how you faded out the songs before the next song started. This made the changeovers from one to the next part a lot smoother than in the first part.

The selection of songs is also quite good. A wide range of different styles and artists. The graphics and animations were good most of the time. Of course there are some differences in the quality, but this is of course due to the various artists and their personal styles.

Assios responds:

Thank you! :) Glad you liked the menu.

Good work

I really like the canvas you used. It fits quite well with the theme. The menu is like a "to do list", but with many points on it that aren't even filled out.

Some of the unfinished work was awesome, some of it was... well... not really good.
I liked the guy sitting in front of the TV, switching through channels and the music video for Weezer a lot.
But my favorite part is the last one by zooominsh. He had a very good idea for a flash there. Too bad it's unfinished.

I didn't like the lazer-part and the "vomiting man". Those two didn't offer anything funny to me.

Thanks for the review. It's a rare collab review that reviews separate parts, so I appreciate this review..
