A cloudy collab

A very cloudy collab. Also a very 8-bittish collab on top of that.

I liked it pretty much, all artists have submitted good quality work to the collab, nothing stands out as bad here. Also, the music fits in very well here. It sounds pretty cheerful, which fits to the "cloud" topic in this collab.

Also, the mini game at the start was nice, too.

Simple again

Very similar to the "dance" collab. Again it's interesting to see what different authors come up with for a specific topic.

I think I would've chosen Fats Domino's "I'm walking" as a song for the collab, though. It's more fitting.

Also again it's a let down that there are only short cycles of "walking" here and no real story or even some changes in the background.

OK, thanks for the review :)

Funny

Hey, this looks pretty rush... oh wait! :P

It's a very fast paced flash so it's best to watch when no one is disturbing you so that you don't miss anything.

I really like this flash, it's amazing how many funny things you have put in here (my favorite where the signs with "No one is hinding here!" and "Best hiding spot!").

The quality of the audio is a bit low, but other than that it's a great movie.
If frustration always results in such funny movies you should be frustrated more often... :P

Nice

A very nice movie. There's not that much happening here, but there's nothing wrong with having a flash that doesn't rely on style or action but on dialogue.

The voice acting was pretty good, but Lenz was a bit hard to understand because of the mask. It's a good idea to "muffle" the voice a bit because of the mask, but it was a bit too much for my taste.

I liked how you used the goggles to express the feelings of the scientist, it was a nice idea.

I'll be sure not to muffle him as much come episode 2.

Done quickly, and it shows

First of all let me say that this isn't a bad idea. You have a point there. When famous people die, other people tend to pay "tribute" to them with crappy submissions that are nothing else as slideshows with a sad tune playing in the background.
Also, the beginning with June/July and Michael Jordan, Michael Phelps (or however it is spelled ^^) and Michael Jackson was funny, too.

However, it really shows that this flash was done very quickly. The voice is sometimes a bit too muffled and it's kinda hard to understand what you are saying. The graphics are pretty sloppy and the images aren't always well placed.

I'm sure you can do a lot better than this if you put more effort into your flashes plus if you have the time to plan your flash better. But on the other if you put this out in like a month, no one would care about your point anymore, because all those tributes would've been long gone from the front page of the portal and people simply wouldn't care anymore.

So, this is an okay flash if you consider the fact that you simply hadn't that much time to put this together, the point you have isn't less valid just because the flash doesn't have first class graphics. ;)

Better planned than most tributes =D
I hope? I'll also say it was 100% (more like 80% =X) intentional to make it reflect the submissions I'm raving on about.
Yeah, it was done moderately quickly, but I have a real animation to get work done >.<
Glad you liked at least part of it, and thanks for the review =D

Nice

Again a pretty good movie. The story starts off great with that investigator theme and ends in an unexpected punchline.

The movie is a bit too dark at times. While it works quite well in the very beginning where Nick enters the house and talks about his job it's a bit hard to see what's going on once he goes to the fridge.

It would also have been nice if you had used toy guns and sound effects until Cody appears on the scene. While it is hilarious to watch two guys shooting at each other with their bare hands (and it also reminds me of that one episode of South Park) the punch line would have been even better if the viewer could actually see what you two where imagine.

We've addressed the lighting in our newest movie. Beneath the Sheets 2.

Great

Well, that was just great. I like how you copied the movement of the computer characters as well (especially the "running against walls" ^^).

I also liked how you put the "will you take"-screen into it as well as the subtitles. All in all you did a very good job of parodying Resident Evil.

The voices where sometimes a bit quiet. Especially Nick was sometimes a bit hard to understand.

The main flaw of this submission are the "door" scenes. While I like that you put it in (well, if you parody RE you just have to put in those doors in between "room changes" right?), but the door knob was staying at the exact same place. When the door swung open the door knob didn't move an inch. This looks pretty weird.

But overall, this is a masterpiece of amateur movies! ;)

Fro responds:

Yeah, I didn't do the art. I did the stairs myself and fallensoul did the door, but it was so much better than what I could do.
