It sounds a bit weird at the beginning. And it sounds weird in the middle. And at the end, too. ^^

Well, I can't really make up my mind on this song. There are a few dissonant tunes during the intro, and after that, the melodies are thrown together in a wild way (or at least it seems that way), but strangely enough: It works!

Well as long as you liked it ^^
Thanks for the review.

I like how the song builds up. First 30 seconds are pretty quiet, but slowly there are more parts added.

I really like the melodies you used here. They are very catchy. Also, the beats create a dense atmosphere.

I'm not sure if this fits into a madness movie (I haven't watched that many anyway), but it defenatly fits to a big fighting scene.

WritersBlock responds:

Yeah, I think I'm getting pretty good with creating an atmosphere now, but as for specific themes, I'm still trying to get those down. I just write, and follow an instinct, which ends up being different from my original goal. Thanks for the review.

It seems to me as this is highly underrated. I mean, it's good in every aspect. The sound quality is very good and the mixing is done good as well. Everything can be clearly heard and nothing is overpowered. There are no statics in here...

The music is good too. The melody and the "na na na na na"-bits are very catchy and are almost as good to be sung in a football stadium like White Stripes "Seven Nation Army".

Also, this reminds me of something... some band or some song. But I really can't put my finger on it...

Anyways, great song!

I like the melodies in this track. They are very catchy and I still can hear them in my head, even though I already stoped the track some minutes ago.

The beats are also very nice and together with the melodies they make up for a great song.

However, for my taste there's too little diversification from the main beat and main melody.

Bob-Music responds:

Understandable, it does stick to a pretty strict pattern throughout but thanks for scoring high anyway :)

The "intro" of this track seems a bit too long. It takes some time until finally something happens when the faster sets in.

I guess it would work better and sound less repititve when it is included into a movie. Then we not only have the song to listen to but also the plot to follow on the screen (and indeed, it worked quite well when I read through your description while listening to the song).

I like the ending of that song. The hold note may say: "Ok folks, this was the LAST episode ever" or it may say: "to be continued...".

WritersBlock responds:

Hehe, thanks. Yeah, I've been going through a learning curve on structure recently, compensating short, under-developed tunes for long, perhaps too paced out songs. I'm just waiting for that to balance so that my music won't need the movie to still be an interesting song to listen to.

It's a very nice track with good melodies and a very nice beat.

I especially like that melody that starts at around 1:45 into the song. I think you may emphasize that slight echo there a bit more.

Other than that, I think there should be added a bit more to the track in general. A nice hookline or a spacey theme that appears on a few occasion during the song.
Right now it keeps itself too much in the background to be really outstanding.

HMS-Productions responds:

lol 1:45 was my favorite part of the song. I only realized how mixer tracks automation clips and whatnot work after I made this song, so that may have had an effect.

Thanks for teh review

A very nice track you have here. I liked every bit of it.

You are right, it's those tiny little things like the bells that make this song so special. Without it, it would be more like your everyday trance/techno song which I wouldn't bother listening to. But you added a special note to this with your additions.

I also like how varied this track is. A lot is going on there while the track plays and that gives us a lot to listen to. ;)

:) Thanks.

The only problem is, is that the Sub Bass drop Is too Loud, You hear it hog everything for a second.

Oh wells :D

A very nice remix of the famous Mortal Kombat theme.

The intro/outro with the piano was very nice. At first I hoped to hear the theme played on a single piano. Would have been interesting, too I guess. ^^
But I also liked when the other instruments and beats set in. The transition is done very well.

Only thing is that the bass stood out a little too much. It overpowers the other melodies in this track by far, so that it's a bit hard to listen to them.

This is a fantastic track. I think this is perfect as a background track. Which genre? I think this track fits in nearly every genre. I just listened to that song while playing a business simulation game. And it fitted very well. And I guess it would fit as well in nearly every other genre.

Even though the track is over 8 minutes long, it doesn't get boring. I like the various melodies you put in here. Together with the background music they build a magnificent whole.
Great track!

WritersBlock responds:

Well, thanks. I guess it works in the ambient genre, seeing as it fits well as background music. ;D

Very nice song. I really like how you build this up from the beginning to the great climax.
At first I thought that this was played much too slow, but then I suddendly noticed that you where already working towards that climax and slowly began to play quicker and quicker and adding more and more to the song.

But I think you should finish the track a tad bit sooner after the climax. Then it would be perfect in my eyes/ears. ;)

BlazingDragon responds:

Thank you for the suggestion! I 'm not willing to go back and change it at this point, but I suppose I can see where you are coming from. My aim was to create an ending which resolved the phrase used at the beginning. Ending it any sooner wouldn't really fit what I had in mind. :(

I appreciate the review!
