This sounds quite nice. While you are right when you say that the main theme is very repititive I don't think that it's that much of a problem here, as you added some nice various parts as the song goes along.

It starts off very low with just the main beat but more and more is added later in the song. So you DO have some kind of developement in there ;) .

I can imagine hearing that in some kind of menu for any type of game.

That's funny, because I showed this to my brother a while ago and he wanted me to turn it into a loop to be used in a game he's making.
Thanks for the comments, I'm glad you like the flow of the song.

This definetly sounds like some Final Fantasy start screen melody, heh.

I like how you start with the piano and than add the other instruments in there slowly and quietly, never outpowering the piano.

The strings sound very nice and relaxing, just like the whole song is very relaxing :) .

I think this could either be used in the main screen or maybe when the credits roll out. But then again, if this is used in the credits, very few people will notice it, has I don't think that many people are actually watching the credits ^^.

thanks for the compliment, it's an honor to be associated with FF! :D

I'm very pleased to hear you like this track. Thanks for the good review!

Oh yeah, 8-bit music! :D

I think this would fit in any RPG, maybe as "on the world map" song. This sounds like so many "world map"-themes out there, so it would fit perfectly ^^.

If this would loop better (or at all ;) ) it would be better, I think. Because it's always kind of disturbing the game flow when suddendly the music stops and then starts over again.

True true. I still havent figured out how to loop songs yet, but Im working on it. Im glad you like it though. xD Thanks for giving me the tips xD

Nice beat in the background and two guitars that play some nice melodies. So it's a nice song :D .

But you should add something more to it. A better drum track and definetly a bassline, this would make the song so much better. Right now it sounds like a good intro, but when it comes to the point where the song could finally start, it's already over... :/

I have no idea from which of your songs this loop is from as this is just the second submission from you that I listened to :P .

However, the beats and effects in here are very nice and even though it's just 30 seconds long you managed to add a lot of different sounds to it, thus making the loop very diversified.
When the 30 seconds are over I always think that the song lasted much longer than just a few seconds, heh.
Good job!

You can always liten to more

It's a nice beat with a nice main beat.

I think it could be best used in a puzzle game, because this feel quite relaxing. But the problem with this loop is that it is rather short so that little to no variations are "provided" in the song.

Maybe you can make this a bit longer and add some more parts to it.

I could extend this fairly easily

In the beginning it sounded a bit like SOAD, heh. But it got more unique once the double base set in.

The song is really great and I am amazed by the great guitars here. Also the varity of this song is quite outstanding. Many riffs and many breaks in here. Doesn't get boring even after 5 minutes :) .

The quality of the sound is great, except for the a bit weak sounding drums. But I think getting a good drum sound is the hardest thing to do when recording a song.

thanks a ton for the fucking awesome review!!!! stay metal bro \m/

I'm glad you PM'd me about this song, or else I would have missed it.

I listened again to Creeping-Dan's song and now to this one. The vocals sure add a nice touch to the song and I think the lyrics are very good.

The singing is done good too, even though the reverb effect is kinda disturbing here.

Too bad you only had the MP3 to work with, because now most of the basses of this song are lost. But I know what you mean by saying the bass drum is way too loud in the original song. Well, because it is ;) .

Anyways, this is a good song and it's even better with the vocals. Now all we need is some more bass! :)

TwilightNecrosis responds:

Thanks for the review, man, I thought you'd like it.
I like the lyrics, too. I consider them the best I've ever written.
Is the reverb disturbing in a bad way, or a good way?
And about the bass, or lack thereof...I think I'm gonna try to pick out enough of the song to do a bass line and throw that in there too, because I hadn't realized how fizzy it sounds.
So keep on watch for the update.
Metal forever!
PS What did you think of the guitar solos?

Haha, this is really funny. This helium voice just makes me laugh :D .

The sound quality is rather low (maybe due to the shitty mic), but it's definetly a very funny track. I think Led Zep would be proud if they knew of this track ^^.

Another very interesting and "psychotic" track from you.

I like the strange noises combined with the repeated "It's all right". Kinda reminds me of Radiohead's "How to disappear completely", where Thom repeats "I'm not here, this isn't happening" over and over again, just that this seems to be from an opposite point of view. Yes, it IS happening, but everything is fine... and if I keep saying this to me, I might acuallty believe it.

LenardNotLenny responds:

Wow, thanks a lot for taking the time to review my stuff. This song is sort of a hazey little thing. And that's exactly the mood I was going for. After your comments, I think I'm actually going to redo the vocals on this. Cause it does have some potential, but the vocals need some structure, plus, I kind of had a cold when I recorded em...
