Nice

A pretty good fighting tune in my opinion. A very driving beat in the background and some good melodies. You even have some breaks in it here and there, where the listener (and the fighters as well ^^) can catch some breath.

Only the fade out at the end isn't so good in my opinion. A little "cliff hanger" - so to speak - would work better I guess (because you wrote "find out next time" in the comments). Maybe end on a single hold note and start the next song with that note. That would connect both songs pretty well, I think.

Thanks for the review once again bro. Oh, and In just write "find out next time" just because. Its really nothing to be taken seriously. I was just giving it that anime feel you know lol. Other than that I'll try to end my songs better next time. Thanks again bro.

Good

Sounds very different from your "Intercontinental" track, but it's nontheless good. It shows that you are capable of creating different styles of music, which is always a good thing for a musician. ;)

The track is very relaxing and it offers some nice melodies. I like the slow build up of the song.
Too bad there isn't any real climax in the song, but on the other hand, if there where one, the track might just lose some of it's nice and relaxing atmosphere.

Good improvements

I knew I reviewed "Essence of Time" before, but couldn't really remember what it was like. But as soon as the intro started I remembered the melody, so you've done a good job with that. The melody sticks in ones mind and has a high recognition value.

I had a quick listen to V1 again and I like the improved intro better. Now there aren't so many quiet moments anymore, the delayed piano works very well.

The solo in the middle is quite nice and gives this song a special touch. Also the new outro is better than the old one. You found a pretty good way to end the song. In my opinion good outros are even harder to create than good intros. ^^

However, sometimes it sounds as if the song is too loud, when more instruments play at once. Maybe that's just me, but I think a little tweaking to mix this a bit better is necessary.

Thanks a lot for reviewing, Haggard :D. I added loads of things to the intro, to make sure nobody would complain, lol :P. I'm glad you liked the solo, it was fun to make. I did add a lot of stuff at the end of the song too to make sure nobody would complain either XD. Anyway, about that loud thing, I think that'll be easy to fix. I just make a main automation pattern, or make a huge automation clip where the main volume goes lower when there are more instruments playing. That is, when I manage to convince my lazy self to go on FL Studio and fix it :\. Anyway, thanks again for the great review!

Very nice song

Starts off pretty slow and a bit weird and I didn't really like the intro too much.

Good that I listened to the rest of it, because it gets very nice after the intro. The song is very relaxing and the beat is quite nice.

Usually I don't like it too much if there's nothing that stands out in a song. There's nothing in particular that stands out here, but the overall impression of the song is still very nice. It's just so relaxing that it is fun to just close the eyes and listen to it.

Very nice song!

Good build up

I like those kind of build ups. They mislead people to think the song is something completly different and then suddendly... *BAM* the "real" song starts.

It's also nice how you did the build up. It starts off very slow and then slowly more and more effects are added. Maybe it's dragged out a bit too long, because it takes nearly 2 minutes until the dance track starts.

But when it starts it offers some very nice beats and an amazing rhythm. The added vocals are a nice addition as well.

However, sometimes it seems as if the bass is a bit overpowered and that some statics can be heard here and there.

Nice

This is a nice song in general with some great melodies. But I think it needs more "epicness" in it, as this is supposed to be a major boss fight. Maybe work towards a climax that happens to be towards the end of the song. You indicate in your author comments that the battle isn't decided in this song and we have to find out in the next song. So that's why I would put a possible climax at the end of the song. I know it's quite hard to achieve, but I think it would pay off in the end.
I imageine something like the battle goes back and forth with no one getting the upper hand, then both prepare for a winning strike at the end and they both clash... and when slowly the dust settles, we can only see one character standing. But who it is we can only find out next time. ^^

Also, like some reviewers mentioned before, the overall "loudness" of this track is, well, too loud. I suggest tuning down the louder instruments of this song a bit so that we can have a better look (or rather listen) at what's going on in the background.

ChaosDragon004 responds:

Yeah I know, the guitar is a difficult one to work with but normaly I can blend it pretty well. If you listen to my other songs you see what im saying. It was just something about this song that I couldnt get right. All n all I still loved this song so much that I had to put it on. Thanks for the feedback.

Great drums

Yeah, the distortion is a bit too much in here. And the distorted piano doesn't sound like a guitar but more like... a distorted piano. ^^

But it fits in here anyway. The drums are pretty good and the drum riff sounds just amazing, especially in the double bass parts.

Also, the looping is done pretty nice. I couldn't tell where the song ended and where it started if it wasn't for the "progress bar" to start over. ^^

Nice

Very nice beat. Hard and pumping. I can imagine people going crazy to this in a disco.

The part where the song itself gets "crazy" (at around 1:23) sounds a bit out of place, but since this is just a preview maybe in the full version the build up to this "crazy part" is a bit better. Or it sounds better in the whole song than it does in this preview as it ends just after the song went crazy and all over the place.

Interesting

At first I thought: "Wow, wtf is that supposed to be?", then I read your comment and I was like: "Oh... that's interesting."

It's a pretty good effort actually, you come up with a pretty good melody after the somewhat boring intro. But on the other hand you are very limited with the sounds you can create if you only use fl's opening sound as a basis. ^^

Normally I advise artists to try and create longer songs, but I don't think you could lengthen this without getting too repititve. The only chance I see to add more parts to this is to use other sounds as well. But then the whole idea of the song would be lost.

So, overall this is a very nice submission and quite original. I mean, I've heard windows sounds quite often now, but I didn't hear anything like this where the author only used one base sound for the entire song.

many thanks for the review.

Nice, but needs better equalizing

The intro is pretty nice, even though the lead guitar is a bit too loud in my opinion. It drowns out most of the background music.
But I like the piano in the intro. It's almost like I only hear it in my subconcious, because I know how the theme sounds. But I don't really hear it with my ears, I just KNOW it is there and I hear the tune in my head... it's very strange, but I like it.

When it comes to the heavy part the sound is pretty raw, but I guess all instruments where played "live" (as in: No drum computers, etc.). I like the riff here a lot. The melody from the halloween theme is gone, but you can still hear the rhythm.

Too bad the drums are so loud. Whenever the hi hat is played it sounds as if the whole song "jumps" there, because no other instruments can be heard for a short while (or maybe that's just because my speakers are too bad).

Towards the end it all gets a bit messy and the sound quality suffers a lot from the fast drums and guitars.

Overall this is a nice remix of the halloween theme, but it needs more work in the equalizing department. ^^
