I didn't like it too much, but this is due to the fact that I just don't enjoy collabs or demo reels too much. Just a matter of personal preferences.

Some of the stuff we could see here looks pretty good, others where mediocre. The main problem for me was, that everything seemed to be really cluttered. Sometimes the scenes where interrupted but different scenes, only to continue some time later on.
Also, some of the pictures (for example, the pink panther walk cycle) where too dark, so it was hard to see the cycle.

At other times, the image seemed to be strangely unsteady (for example the guy running through the city, followed by some fat and huge character).

Anyway, the only way to get better at flash is to create more stuff and submit more stuff. You have proven that you can draw and that you have your own style, now you only have to get better with the tools you are using. ^^

Thanks, and don't you worry I'll be creating more animations in the future.
Next Time I'll try keep it clean.
Yeah the problem with the paper drawn animations was that the cameras exposure was really poor, and I had already had them compiled.
Thanks again, I appreciate the time it took for you to write this

A nice backstory of how Brutus became what he is now. The narration of the backstory went on quickly, which is a huge plus. Not much need of a drawn out and boring sequence, so I think your pace was pretty good here.

I also liked how you played around with the on screen text. The B in the typical red font of the infamous flash, Strawberry Clock making a short appearence and stealing the B... that was a really nice touch.

Another short episode. Brutus plans to get rid of Drake once and for all, just like every good (or is it "bad" in this case?) villain would do.

I noticed that Darrell looks awfully like Brutus. So I guess you have to work on your character design a bit more, so the characters can be distinguished more easily from each other.

Now let's just hope that Drake can find the missing citizens in Trellutor!

Yep, character designs are a new priority for me! Thanks for your review :)

I think clock related submissions that aren't from official clocks always have it a bit hard to entertain the audience, if it's not clockday.

I liked this submission. The story is pretty funny and I'm glad that more and more people are fed up with this "ilovegirlgames" stuff (speaking of which, I haven't seen a submission from those dressup bots in a long time. Maybe the redesign broke them?). And I can really understand why SBC can't take it anymore.

The scenes with the stock footage was pretty cool and I think adding the flash characters there can work quite well if it's executed in the right way.

Yeah, I thought I'd fit in some Newgrounds humor.
Thank you for your review!

Hm, the sound quality of Brutus' voice in the brief review of the previous episode is pretty good. No static noises here at all.

Too bad the episode is so short again. Just when you think the story starts to flow there's another cut and another "to be continued". Not very satisfying. :(

Anyway, "Enter Sandman" was put to good use here. I liked how the short sword battle started right when the song started to become heavier. That was good timing there.

MistyE responds:

Yeah, I noticed that from episode 5 around the time this was made so I fixed it. Eventually I forgot to swap out episode 5 with an improved version that doesn't hurt the viewer's ears.

I guess the "to be continued" thing is so you'll wanna watch the next episode, that way more story elements are revealed faster and more new viewers are introduced to the series. Hopefully my new daily award with Adrellia Village will introduce more people to the series.

Thank you for your review!

Again there are some really heavy sound issues. Especially when Brutus is speaking the sound is full of static noises that really hurts the ears.

The story line gets a bit confusing now. I don't think we ever heard of Brutus before in the past 4 episodes. A little foreshadowing in previous episodes would've made his appearance much more powerful. Maybe have some characters talk about what happend in the past (Brutus obviously tried to take over the world before) or the king mentions something about Brutus when he meets Drake... stuff like that.

Now Brutus feels really much out of place.

MistyE responds:

Interesting point. This was intended to be his debut and have him first be introduced to the audience but a little backstory beforehand would probably work better. Thank you for your review.

Longer episodes

So, this is the build up to the third episode, which I already reviewed. I have to agree with other reviewers, that the episodes are too short. This episode and the following one would've easily fit into one flash, for an episode of about 3 minutes length, which would be very decent.

Also, the joke where Drake gets lost in the castle and runs through a few doors on the left only to come back onto the screen from the right was a tad bit too short. Now, I appreciate that you didn't draw out this joke as long as the "Scooby Doo" series did, but just a few seconds longer would've been more funny, I think.

MistyE responds:

Interesting take on the joke when he gets lost. I'll keep that in mind next time. So that nobody thinks I'm not following their advice since this series is about two years old, I might re-release a version just like that.

Thank you for your review.

What can I say

This leaves me almost speechless. I love how you can create such strong feelings with only black and white shades and some music.

I really love the story here, how the dragon like figures try to find a way to touch each other, but nothing seems to work. One dragon sacrifices himself to finally break through that barrier.

The final line is nearly heartbreaking, because THIS is what true love is all about.

awww thanks haggard ^^! courtney certainly is proud of me, and i am proud of her <3

Hmm

When Jack Black came powersliding into the screen it gave me a good laugh (even though the image was cut out poorly).

The story didn't make that much sense to me, so I'm glad you are now requesting the episodes in order, heh.

While the outtakes where funny I think they should be presented at the end of the flash, not during the middle of the story, it's quite distracting.

MistyE responds:

Thanks. Great input on the outtakes. I'll keep that in mind next time. Appreciate your review.

Hmm

The lip syncing sure is a problem here. The characters move their mouthes, with is a huge plus, but sometimes they move their mouthes without speaking or sometimes they are speaking without moving the mouth. Hopefully this gets sorted out in the next episodes.

I liked the Final Fantasy style in the battle scene. Especially that stat window that popped up after the Dark Knight was defeated was pretty cool.

I think you need to work on the timing for the on screen text, however. Sometimes it was gone so fast that I couldn't read it properly. A solution might be the introduction of a "continue" button.

MistyE responds:

Thank you for your review! The "continue" button is a nice idea, I might implement that into future episodes.
