Raises more questions that it answers...

Now we know who Malik is. Or do we? We haven't seen him yet and can only rely on what Mr. Jaw tells us for the time being. This final episode raises more question that it answers. Which is a good thing! This way you can keep the readers interested. ;)

You introduced three more characters in the last chapter, two of those seem to be main characters. So it will be interesting to see when they will meet with Mr. Jaw. It will also be interesting when we first get to see the mysterious Malik.

So, now that this act is over I have to say your way of telling the story is really good. While the single acts aren't that long (at least it doesn't take too long to read them) they all continue to tell the story and every time I read another act I'm more and more interested in the rest of the story.

Anyway, I hope you continue soon. And I also hope you pick some other music. I don't have anything against the musical selection now, both songs are very nice and fit to the story, but it would still be nice to hear something different. :)

I might pick an alternative track for the next series, I just need to find something "appropriate".

I try to end each chapter with a good cliffhanger, so they lead in nicely to the next one, I hopefully will have the first tooth for a tooth story out before the month is done!

Thanks,

Good again

It's a bit hard to review a series of flashes and always come up with something new.
Anyway, I like this episode very much. Even though I want to see how the story continues with the main character it's always nice to see some other characters acting in the plot. This gives the story more depth and also develops the world you created for the characters to act in further.

The ending is quite touching. "I agreed that killing someone can be okay, this is the saddest day of my life."
I think we all can think of situations where killing someone is more humane than letting the person live (for example if the person is seriously wounded and would die anyway, but only after hours and hours of pain). But admitting that killing a person can be the best choice is still shocking.

Celx-Requin responds:

Yeah this one turned out pretty good, and is the best score of the bunch.
So I'm pretty happy, I want to get into those kind of grey area issues with the series a bit more, I just don't want to come off as pretentious either...

Thanks for the review!

Nothing too interesting

Well, maybe I didn't like this collab too much because I didn't understand what was supposed to be so funny about the shape 'n' shape craze back then. And maybe I'm just watching this at a too late point (meaning that I didn't hardly remember the flood of shape 'n' shape movies until I saw this collab).

I guess it's hard to come up with something really good and funny if you are only working with shapes, but most of the time the submissions wheren't simply too original. And to add on that sometimes the voice acting was simply too quiet to understand a thing.

Thanks for the review, Haggard.

We submitted the collab a little after the shape craze had begun, so that was partially why the collab was unpopular. You had some good points about the voice acting though, and yes, creativity was lacking in several parts.

Overall, I appreciate the review man, thanks.

Not original, but solid flash

A nice fight between two of the most well known Street Fighter Characters. The sprites looked good and the fight was interesting to watch. The pace was sometimes a bit too quick, but this is still better than the fight being too slow paced.

The text boxes where the main issue with this flash, I think. Sometimes the text doesn't even fit in and the last few letters are cut off. This gives a very bad impression on the whole flash as it always seems as if the author was just too lazy.

The ending was kinda random, but I had to laugh at it anyway.

Overall, the story isn't very original, but the execution was nicely done.

WTF?

I didn't say it, but I wrote it in the title, for the lulz. :P

I'm sure David Lynch will like this. At least I got the same feeling after watching this flash I get when I just finished watching any movie by David Lynch. ^^ (well, not any... but "Ereaserhead" and "Mulholland Drive" for example).

The surrealism worked really well here, but I think you should have left out the smiley faces. They looked misplaced in this flash.

Dapper responds:

Smiley faces didn't go well, eh? What about all the other things that didn't go well, lol. Thanks for reviewing, and I appreciate the David Lynch reference, Eraserhead was pretty damn surreal.

Good flash

Yeah, "over 9000" was funny once but people really shouldn't use this meme anymore. In fact, people shouldn't use any memes. Rickroll wasn't funny from the start, and Chuck Norris jokes... well, actually there are quite a few funny jokes.

Anyway, this flash is quite good. It shows how the constant use of memes and shitty jokes can take out the fun for everyone.

The voice acting is quite good, only the sound quality is a bit low. But you added subtitles for a better understanding, which is always a nice thing.
Musical selection was good as well, fits the flash nicely.

Also, yes I found the easter egg and got stuck. :(
