Good flash

The graphics here are pretty good. You have a very good drawing style and you even managed to draw old people. For some reason, no one manages to draw old people in a convincing style, but you did. So kudos for that. ;)
You also put in some nice details in the background, which makes the flash even more enjoyable.

The voice acting is all right. The voices are easy to understand and they sound "old" as well.

Storywise the flash is nice as well. Lately I've been listening to some audio dramas about the story of Dacula, so this flash fits in very well with what I have passed my free time as of late, heh. Nice coincidence.

Anyway, the animation could be a bit more fluent. Maybe you can achieve this by drawing some more frames to add to the animation.

Hey thanks a lot for the review. I hope to make my animation more fluent in the future. Practice, practice. Thanks for watching.

Good flash

This is a pretty good flash. The sprites are pretty good and I like the way you use them. The movements are very fluent and I like you also put in some mouth movements when the characters are talking.

The overall layout of the flash is nice as well. The subtitles on top (so, they are "toptitles") are a bit unusual, but it's a good thing I can read what the characters are saying since the voice acting - while the voices are good - is a bit hard to understand sometimes due to a rather low sound quality.
I also like the pause button. It's always nice if I am able to pause a movie in case I have to leave the PC for a short while.

I enjoyed this flash a lot. The jokes are funny (I especially liked the "six million dollar man" reference) and the plot as a whole is nice to watch.
Too bad I haven't watched the previous episodes, but I guess I will do it if I find the time.

Amazing

It was a good idea to put all the chapters into one flash. I read through the whole story again and I realized I might have missed some parts, strange.

Anyway, the story is really amazing and I like how it slowly unfolds with each new chapter. I also like the foreshadowing of story elements in some of the panels.

The art is very good as well. The contrast between the pink colour and the blue one is very good and I like how you display some characters in blue and some in pink (as well as displaying the night time with blue colours).
Next thing I liked was the words on some panels like "FEAR" or "VOMIT" and so on, as well as some sentences, that appear to be some sort of inner dialogue of the characters present in the panels (like for example when Bill is attacked, there are some words written in the background).

Overall, I cannot state how truly amazing I find this whole story and the whole concept. 10 stars isn't enough for this flash. ;)

I wanted to really do something fresh and unique with this comic to catch the people who saw Cooljaw off -guard, and garner a different audience. I have one more comic in the trilogy, which is going to be a return to form, in a way it's going to be a spiritual successor to both "Cooljaw", and "The Sugar Claws", I hope you'll take a look at that once it's released.

Thanks again for your review, and all the prior reviews as well, I feel they've been instrumental to the success of my work.

Not bad for a first flash

The sound is really muffled for me, I couldn't really get what was going on here. Subtitles might help here.

Also I found the flash to be pretty slow (maybe because I couldn't understand anything that was said). Especially the last part where that hobo was eating seemed to be dragged on forever.

The drawings are decent and are pretty close to the "barrier" where I would call them good. I liked that you put in some nice details, like the black eye of the hobo. I also liked the background you chose, it fits the scene of the flash pretty well. Of course the image was a bit blurry in the zoomed in scenes, but the background still looked good.

Overall this is a good try for a first flash (I'm assuming this is your first flash, since there are no other submissions on your account) and I think you have some talent. The only way to get better is by practicing and submitting more!

ManNSmkyRoom responds:

Thank you, sorry it felt slow because of the sound volume. This is my first animation and I plan on making more, it's quite fun!

Good collab

As always with collabs there are some mediocre animations and some top notch sketches in there. I think the best animations can be seen towards the end (I liked the one with Bob the serial killer, for example), so the collab gets better the longer you watch it (and I rather have it this way than noticing a steady decline in quality over the course of a collab).

The music did go along pretty good as well. "Right here, Right now" is a very good song and some of the sketches did fit quite well to it.

Overall, it's an enjoyable flash.

Good movie

Starts off a bit slow. Maybe the talking could be a bit faster and bit more "lively". The Madness Guy sounded a little bit bored (or is he just a slow reader? ^^).

Anyway, the rest of the movie - including the awesome credits! - was very good. I liked the take on the "trophy hunting" and it's a nice idea to included this "trophy hunting" mentality into the madnes world. Seems to fit very well, heh.

Deathisawesome responds:

The point there was that he is a slow reader, or just somewhat stupid ;)

Good animation

A very good take on the whole Madness theme. Too bad I didn't watch Madness Dance Party 1 to 3, but I guess I will catch up on the series.

The animation is very smooth and the character movements look nice as well. Especially the guy in the beginning is animated very well.

I also liked the joke where the Party Guy drops his ghetto blaster and stands there, shocked and disbelieving. Good thing he could replace it, though or the party would've ended right there.

Nice

Not sure if I understood this story completly, but the 3D robot like character at the end looked pretty sad. So hopefully the 2D creatures will return some day, since they should now know there indeed IS life in the 3D world.

The musical choice was very nice and I like how the story of the flash went along so well with the music. Maybe the musical climax should've come a tad bit earlier (right now it happens when the rocket goes back to earth, I think it should happen when 2D and 3D characters see each other).

Other than that, this is a very nice flash!

Good flash

I must say, I enjoyed this flash. The graphics are nice to look at (you even had some very nice backgrounds, something some artists don't seem to care about) and the voice acting is decent as well.

Only thing is that red Power Ranger was a bit too quiet sometimes. Additional subtitles may help here.

As others have already stated, the episode was a tad bit too long. Now, I don't have anything against long flashes, but the "joke rate" wasn't too high here.

Anyway, I still enjoyed this flash and I hope to see more episodes from Super Cow & Captain Walrus in the not too distant future. :)

YergTV responds:

I completely agree on the length. I never thought it would turn out to be this long, and I didn't have enough jokes to fill in the length. I'm going to make sure Episode 2 will be shorter (so i can finish it quicker) and chalk-full of jokes

Thanks for the review!

Introduction

Not much storyline in this one, more like a short introduction of the (main?) characters of what could turn into a series.

The graphics are pretty good. I mean they are not spectacular, but they are nice to look at, and that's what counts, right?

The voice acting is decent, but could be a lot better, I guess. Especially bandit boy is quite hard to understand. Ok, he has a rag in front of his face, but maybe the voice could be a bit less muffled.

Animations are very fluent, even though there isn't that much going on in this introductionary flash. By the way, the bonus animations in the credits where hilarious.

Overall I think this flash is very entertaining and I hope to see more from those characters in the future!

GristlyBear responds:

I had an initial storyboard to introduce Ropey Rick, but it was really boring. Fortunately (and kind of unfortunately) I put together a better (relatively) storyboard, but it didn't really include Ropey Rick as much. I'm glad you enjoyed the little loops, the first 2 were from me practicing tracing pictures of doodles I did earlier this year.

Thanks for the review!
