This track has a very good atmosphere. I like the deep sounds during the intro, they really set the tone of what is to follow. I also like the mix of the slower parts and the faster parts where you use a double bass drumming.

The vocals are awesome, too. Really fit to the music, plus they do remind me a bit of early Immortal songs.

The overall production quality seems to be a bit low, but it's not so bad that I would deduct any points for it.

Thanks for the review!
Yes a lot of tweaking to make it so dark and low like it came out.
Wow I sound like Rotting Christ and Immortal? That's a hell of a compliment lol
Really? I did everything I could to make it as high quality as possible its 320kbps.
Could of been the processer I used for my guitar.

You do have a pretty good voice and you have a good range of different voices as well. I liked the approach of not having a script, even though you should refrain from using the phrase "I guess" so often (I guess :P). Anyway, sometimes voice demos are a mix of what the voice actor has done so far or just a mix of the different voices and sometimes it's a bit hard to follow those demos, since there's no real connection between the differen characters/voices. So it was something new to listen to this demo, without any script whatsoever.

Oh, your high pitched voice (the second voice in this demo) sounds a bit like Mickey Mouse, so you have to be careful not to get sued by Disney. :P
Also, your first "nasty voice" sounded a lot like Eric Cartman, haha.

I GUESS I should consider toning down on my use of I guess. Because I didn't have a script, I just kinda fell back to stuff coming out of my mouth without even thinking about it too much. I did want to try and see what I could come up with if I gave myself a bit of time to just...talk.
I will be careful to avoid getting sued by Disney (I never even considered that being a Mickey Mouse voice), and on Eric Cartman, really? I always wanted to do his voice but I never really considered myself able to do it properly xD. Maybe I can do it better than I thought!
Thanks for the review!

Wow, this one is really nice. Usually I despise jazz, because it has the strange flaw of annoying me after only a short while. But this piece is really nice. The piano plays some nice stuff and the bass is very nice here as well, especially during the first half of the song.

I liked that you put in so many different instruments. Drums, guitar, piano, bass. Really feels as if there's a whole band playing live on stage. This creates a very nice atmosphere and I suddendly have the strange urge to drink a glass of whiskey even though I despise whiskey as well... ;)

SoundChris responds:

Hey Haggard,

thanks a lot for another really nice review of yours! Even if you despise whiskey i hope you enjoyed it. Seriouse: I think this your strange urge to take some whiskey is the best compliment that can be given to a jazz piece. When i created the track i also thought about sitting in a piano bar, take some drink and just enjoy some relaxing and exhilarating moments and just get away from it all - thats why i called it >in a strange rapture<.

Thank you for taking your time and giving your review. I really enjoyed it :D

Best wishes and: Cheers!

This is a cool song. I really like the sounds you used in the intro. I was expecting some sort of "spacey" song after that, but what followed was much better than that.

The song does indeed have some sort of spacey atmosphere, which is created by the long and humming sounds. But I like that you put in so many different styles. There's even some sort of "free jazz" style right after the intro from 1:00 to about 1:18. Well, it's not really "free jazz", but I don't have any better name for it. :P

Anyway, even though the song is over 6 minutes long, it never gets boring. This is due to the different styles you used. But also because what you created here really fits together. It wouldn't be enough to just throw various styles together. Those styles have to be connected by something. Here it's the main melody. We can hear it throughout the song and it kind of acts like a tour guide through music land.

Great song!

SkyeWint responds:

Hey there, Haggard! Honestly, thanks. :) I was wondering when I'd get a review from you or SCTE3.

"I like that you put in so many different styles"
That was what I was mainly trying to do. 'How many styles can I put into one song?' was the thought I had while making this.

"There's even some sort of "free jazz" style right after the intro from 1:00 to about 1:18"
Of course! Everything could use some jazz. :P

"But also because what you created here really fits together."
Seems that's a talent of mine - good transitions and tying everything together. The main melody is definitely a useful way of keeping songs nice and consistent.

"Great song!"
Great review! Thanks! :D

A pretty slow song, but for a turtle, I guess this is fast, heh.

I don't really know what to think of this song. The sounds and noises are pretty interesting and I haven't heard those before in a song as well. So I guess that's a bonus point for originality here.

But I don't like the arrangement of the song itself too much. It sounds too weird to me. Also, I couldn't really figure out any cool melodies here as well.

So, overall you have created a very unique sound, you just need to work on how to make those sound work in a song.

Thanks, love getting comments and help on how to improve myself :3

It's a rather short piece and not very creative. But since this is your first creation, this shouldn't be too surprising. You still need some time to figure out how to work with the program you use and if you keep at it, I think you will be able to create some pretty cool stuff in the very near future!

Slavemule6 responds:

As stated it was my first experiment, and I didn't spend more than 3 hours on it. I realized that this program did not have the capabilities I hoped it did, so I've moved to something better. Thanks for the review and I hope to release something epic soon.

The song does sound nice. I really like the main melody here. But the song doesn't seem to have any climax. It keeps itself very much in the background all the time. This may be useful, depening on what game you put this in (I just try to imagine hearing this song in a video game, since it's in the video game category). But I would like it much better if this song would really take off after the small pause during the middle of the song.

N-Szewski responds:

Hey, thanks for the review. I get what your saying about the lack of climax, though it may have sounded a bit more powerful with the band. I'd say the thing about this song is, it ended up being so short which I think leaves it as a nice pop-rock-ish tune, but I guess that's about as far as it'll go without another more elevating section. I'm glad you enjoyed it though, and thanks again for taking the time to share your thoughts!

This starts off really slow and I was asking myself why this is in the Funk genre, when suddendly the bass guitar began to play a pretty good riff.

At 0:36 other instruments set in as well and they play a very nice riff. I was expecting the song (even though it's pretty short) to really set off here, but sadly, it didn't. We can hear that nice riff again towards the end of the song.

I think you could use that riff as an amzing intro to a much longer song. But in this piece, I feel there's just too much stuff missing...

Possibly responds:

Ah fair enough, thanks for taking the time anyway. My personal feeling is that if I focused on the more riffy elements, it wouldn't have so much texture. It was supposed to be more of a short and surprising journey.

Thanks again :)

It's a nice piece you have here. I really like the piano and you play it a very nice way. I really like the melody of this song and I think it's WAY better than the original (I just listened to a few versions of this song, don't know which one was the original... but your interpretation is WAY better anyway ;) ).

Jabicho responds:

Hi Haggard! Thanks for the review, and for taking the time to listen to my cover, and other versions.

It means a lot that you prefer this one. Thanks again!

This sounds very strange and random, yet so damn cool at the same time. I really like the saz here, it fits into this song absolutely perfectly.

The drums are very nice as well. Very nice bassy sound. Together with the other instruments the drums create a very "Egypt" like atmosphere, which I really enjoyed.

The only thing you should think about changing is that "ringing sound" in the background. We can hear it when the track starts and almost throughout the entire song. It gets really annoying after a while.

SoulSecure responds:

You must mean the delay on the bell synth. Originally, that part is only six notes each measure, I already got rid of the delay in an updated version. You should go listen to the original water temple theme from the game Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.
