"HOW DARE YOU PICK ON THE FANTASTIC FOUR????" Now that I got this off my chest, let's continue with the actual review:

Wow, this is one of the most original things I have ever heard on Newgrounds. This is a very interesting concept and you present your little show very well. When this startet, I was thinking this was going to be some sort of parody of late night shows like David Letterman. And this got me thinking, that you could easily turn this show into some sort of "late night show", bringing in different "guests" (voiced by yourself), some (fake) audience sounds... could be really cool.

Or you just leave the show as it is now, because actually it is really interesting.

ecopper12 responds:

That's actually a pretty cool idea! I might use that in another show, but for right now, this formula is fairly easy and allows me to put my own thoughts out there easier.

Thanks for the compliments! I really appreciate it!

Too bad this is so short. Because this piece is just awesome. And it fits perfectly to the single panel you linked to in the comment section. I really would like to read the whole comic with your music in the background. :)

So, if you ever have too much time on your hands... why not try to put a Tintin comic into a flash, and composing the music for it? ^^

SilentTakedown responds:

I am actually not that big a fan of Tintin - at least it was not a big part of my childhood. Nonetheless I am glad you like it.
Thanks for the review!

Very good voice acting in this one. Your voice really does sound very powerful and the way you delivered the speech was very convincing. I also liked the humour here, very nicely delivered.

"O Fortuna" might be a bit overused for stuff that has to do with "fighting", but oh well. It's just so damn good, isn't it?

However, the first few seconds need some better mixing, as the music was louder than the voice, thus making the first few sentences of the speech very hard to understand.

ecopper12 responds:

Sorry for the late response.

Thanks for the compliments! And yeah, O Fortuna is a bit overused, but classical music isn't my forte, so that was I thought of. xD

The mixing is definitely something I'll fix in Voice War Two, if I make one. I've heard from a lot of people that the music is really loud, so, thanks for that, cause I would've never noticed on my own, really. xD I don't have an ear for things like that, usually.

Thanks again!

The song gets a bit repetitive towards the end, but I guess this was something you where aiming for. At least the song creates a kind of creepy atmosphere by repeating the same drum pattern over and over again. The deep bass sound amplifies this creepy atmosphere. And for me, "atmosphere" is what ambient music is about.

Since this song does indeed create a very dense atmosphere, I'll rate it 4 out of 5 stars: I deduct one star because the song got so repititve, which I didn't like too much.

DJclimax responds:

yeah i suppose you're right it is pretty repetitive. i'll do better on that next time.
my main focus of this song was experimenting with the extremes of the range of human hearing, hence the lack of progression. heck, 4/5 ain't bad. i'll take it.

thank you kindly for the review. :]

I have to agree with Knuckstrike here. The song is too short and it ends too suddendly. Maybe you could up the tempo to an almost crazy speed, and then end it with a few slower notes... because right now, the song seems to be cut off during the middle of a note.

Anyway, the concept of the song is still pretty nice.

Ahah sorry for the late response but yeah thank you for the review... Somehow later on I'll have to come back to this piece and "remix" it so to speak <_<

A very nice song. I like the light-hearted atmosphere it creates. I imagine lying in the meadow, while the sun is shining. A tree provides some shade. A few clouds passing by, and a light breeze helps to cool me off. I just day dream...

The only thing I can really critizise here is, that this song is "only" 4 and a half minutes long. :P My daydream wasn't quite over when the song suddendly stopped. ;)

Stargenx responds:

Thanks for the review, Mr. Haggard!
I'm sorry that I cut your daydreaming short! These songs seem to end themselves when they feel most natural to end (to me). In any case, I'm glad you enjoyed it, I often get lost in it myself.

Aamzing song.

I really like the drums here, they play some really powerfull stuff. I also like the guitars (I play the guitar myself). The riffs are pretty good. The changeover from heavy music to some soft, clean guitar playing reminds me a lot of earlier Opeth stuff.

I can really imagine this song with some nice growling vocals. That would be really amazing. :)

InYourDreams responds:

Thnx Haggard! Im glad u like it. Opeth is one big influence on my music among a lot of other prog-metal bands. Maybe someday i'll find someone to growl over my music :P... Im really bad at it xD

When reading the title, I expected a completly different song. Something more heavy and more bassy. But the song I just heard isn't bad at all. I really like the rhythm. It is kind of relaxing, but the melodies do have a driving feel, which creates a very interesting atmosphere.

I also like the variations this song has to offer. The first minute is a bit repetitive, but after that, the song changes a lot.

Good work!

I'm glad you liked it. It's a bit difficult to translate dreams into sound. Especially some of the dreams I have sometimes. More times than most, the song becomes less of a song and more of a sound collage. This one turned out awesome though. Thanks for the review and I hope you enjoy my other tracks as well.

Good song. I like the amtosphere it creates. It does indeed have a dark undertone, but surprisingly enough, this song isn't depressing or scary at all (just like you would a song with a dark undertone expect to be). I think, there's some "hope" noticeable throughout the song. Maybe it's the beat or it's the absence of a deep bassy sound in the background...

Anyway, pretty good song!

EagleGuard responds:

Thanks, the "hope"-feeling was indeed something I noted as well and was initially just a byproduct. I'm glad I left it in though!

Thanks for the review!

Starts off with only the piano, which is a very nice thing. I was surprised when suddendly a drum beat sets in. Surprisingly enough, the piano and the drum beat fit together very well. However, the clapping sound is a tad bit too much. It's like every second song uses that exact same clap sound...

Anyway, the song continues to surprise me, the longer it lasts. I like the transitions here very much. The piano fades out and in again and this creates some very interesting effects.

Overall, this is a very good song.

Dylnmatrix responds:

Thank you for the kind words, I'm glad you liked it ^^
Yeah, I agree that this particular clap sample is a bit overused. Seeing this made me realize how much I've used the same clap samples over and over in my songs. It's a bad habit I have of sticking to one system and not branching out to try new things, like my drum samples. You mentioning that made me change the clap I was using in my newest song to a snare drum sample, and it actually sounds a whole lot better. Hopefully I'll be able to find and get new samples and such to make my music sound more unique in the future.
