Hard sounding beats

Wow, that are some very hard sounding beats you have here, very nice.

I liked the 8 bit intro and was indeed a bit surprised when suddendly the beat set in. I also like that you used 8 bit sounds later on in the song. This creates a very interesting contrast between the somewhat cheesy sounding 8 bit melody (8 bit melodies always seem to sound cheesy) and the very hard and dirty background beat.

Good work!

Thanks! Yknow i was really goin for the whole contrast idea, between the very high-tech synth sounds vs the very basic 8-bits. sort of experimental on my part. Thanks a lot for your feedback. Glad you liked it!

Catchy :P

Haha, I beat the other reviews by already stating the catchyness of this song in the summary. :P

The melodies are indeed very good and quite unique. The only thing why I'm not giving a 10 is that awful drum sound, especially the cymbal. It sounds as if someone would hit his cooking pots instead of a cymbal on a drum set.

Hahahaha. The cymbal are that awful?
"It sounds as if someone would hit his cooking pots instead of a cymbal on a drum set." - Nice one. Made me laugh.

Anyways, thanks for reviewing.

Sounds like Oasis

Yeah, I never was a big fan of Oasis, but the guitars here sound a bit like Oasis in my opinion. The only thing missing here are some vocals. They would also take away a bit from the "repititiveness" that other reviewers have already written about.

Thanks, your advice and critique is well appreciated!

Relaxing

I had to laugh a bit when I read Fro's review. He wrote: "but it sounds like something someone could listen to after a long and drawn out day of work so they could finally relax".

Well, I just came home and it was a pretty long and hard day. When I listened to this I felt instantly better, because it is so nice and relaxing. I couldn't fall asleep to this, but it certainly helps me to finally cool down after this day. :)

Thank you so much! I'm glad it helped you!

Good

Very nice song, indeed. The effects are very original. This is a big plus as most industrial/technolike songs in the audio portal seem to use the same effects (must be the software those artists use to create their songs). So it is very nice to hear something completly different.

I can imagine listening to this in a disco (yes, there are discos around here that play industrial music ;) ) and I also can imagine that the dance floor would be crowded with people dancing to this.

BudGPStudios responds:

Whoa, this at a disco... That'd be weird to dance to. I hate the sound of FLcore instruments, so I went to find some new ones. (BTW, the lead instrument is actually a preset in my program, but I know how to mix that generic feeling out of it.) Thanks

Nice, but voices are too low

This is a nice mix with some various parts, so it isn't too repittive, which is always a big plus.

I liked the quote in the intro and that you used voice samples here and there in the song. But I think the samples are too quiet. It's hard to make out what is said, because the music is so loud.

Bracksta responds:

yea i know what you mean, mainly during the climax a couldn't hear the vocals, i should have fixed that a lil, thanks for the review!

Good

At first I thought this would be just another annoying everyday dance beat. But after a few seconds into the song I realized that this is totally different from what I expected.

The song creates a pretty dark, almost sinister atmosphere. The vocals fit in very well and they also add some varity into the song, which is a very good thing.

glad you liked it dude

80s? Oh yeah!

Wow, from the first note on it has this 80s feel, great job! But even better, when the drums set in at 0:13 it is even MORE 80s than it was before...

Yeah, a very good song. You managed to create this atmosphere that we who where born in the 80s loved (and still love) so much. This reminds me of classic hits like "Fade to grey" or "Sunglasses At Night".

A few voice samples would've been really cool, however. If you can't sing there's always a lot of filters you can use to make spoken words sound very interesting. You should experiment a bit with various filters to see what kind of vocals could fit with this song.

Soundgasm responds:

heh, thanks.
I toyed with the idea of sampling some voices in.
Kinda wish I had spent more time on this, I'm going to have to go back and expirement a bit more.

Sounds good, but needs work on the vocals

Drums and guitars sound all right. The drums should use the cymbals less, though. The guitar riff was pretty bad ass.

The biggest problem are the vocals here. Not that they are bad or anything, no. They are good and blend in nicely with the music, but there are statics all over the place when the vocalist does his job, which is a hughe let down for an otherwise good song.
