Ha! I just love that scene (and the whole film). The song is great too. Your interpretation of the song is very nice, and I have to say: THE PHASERS HAVE TO STAY IN THERE! It just wouldn't be same without them! :P

Only thing that bothers me is that it seems a tad bit too slow... speed that thing up a bit and it will sound even better!

Someone who likes the phasers! ^^
Could be cool with a little more speed, i hear ya. Thanks for the review!

That's a very nice interpretation of "Hey there Delilah", for sure.

Your voice sounds pretty fitting here, which sure is a good thing, heh.
Sometimes the lines where a bit too long to really fit in there, so you had to hurry up with your singing. But I guess doing spoof songs is just as hard as writing original songs.

Anyway, this song gave me a good laugh! Good work!

Wow, great song! The sound quality is very amazing. Everything is mixed perfectly, so that everything goes along well together. No outpowering of other instruments here. Great!

The vocals sound pretty much like SOAD to me, but that's not a bad thing ;) . The lyrics are pretty strange, but that's not a bad thing either. ^^

Great song!

Great compliments thank you so much ;_;

A nice song with cool melodies and a very nice rhythm in it. The piano and the guitar really go along well together and they make up for a great song.

Too bad the guitar sounds so strange (is that a real guitar or just samples?), this lets the song down a bit. Also the drum track needs a bit improvement, as it stays the same during the whole song.

Sounds pretty cool. There are some very industrial like parts in there, which always got "interrupted" by those piano like parts. I liked that "question and answer"-game a lot.

Problem is, that you don't have much varity in this song. It's basically just the same two parts over and over. Try to add something more to it, like some voice samples, or some guitars here and there (most likely during the "industrial" parts) to keep the listener interested.

Reminds me a lot of Depeche Mode and New Model Army (and similar 80s "gothic" bands). It has a very dense atmosphere and really grew onto me while it was playing.

The vocals are pretty nice and even the lyrics are quite easy to understand.

Only downside here is the bad sound quality during the chorus. Maybe if you turn down the distortion of the guitar a little bit it would sound better overall.

Yeah this was recorded in Garageband, lol.
But now I have logic pro so everything should be a bit smoother now :)

Thanks!

Whoa, you REALLY need to do something about the bad sound quality! It ruins the whole song!

With a better sound quality you would have a very kick ass song with nice and heavy riffs and some great vocals. But right now it's just a big sound porridge.

You also have to work a bit on the drums, they don't really fit into the song. Oh, and the ending is a bit too abrupt as well.

Thank you for the review. I am currently writing some new drums and a extra riff or too. This was another one I recorded off of the tiny BC Rich I was using, but I think now I could get some kick ass quality.

Haha, the intro with the cymbal is so great! I think it has been used in bilions of metal songs but it never gets old! :D

The riffs are very nice and they fit together well with the drums. The change in speed sound a bit weird at first, as if you aren't right with your timing anymore, but in reality you just speed up a bit.

The outro is done very nice, too. Great song! It just needs some vocals, though...

XxCowMeatxX responds:

:D your wrong about the intro thing though... its a billion and one lol. thanks for the review bro.

The intro sounds very strange. Somehow the drum beat sounds as if I were listening to 2 songs at the same time.
Luckily the song builds up shortly after that, but the drums are a bit too much in the foreground.

At 1:08, the song really starts, and man it's nearly blowing me off my chair! Kick ass riffs and heavy as fuck drums add up for this awesome song!
Be sure to add some nice shouting vocals here (Arch Enemy's "Beast of Man" comes to my mind. Those kind of vocals would fit perfectly!).

Even though the song is over 6 minutes long it never gets boring or repititive. Great job!

Sounds quite nice, but the drums are too prominent here. If I turn the speakers up to also hear the background melodies the drums are blasting my speakers, if I turn it down I can't hear the melodies playing in the background anymore. So you need to mix the song a bit better.
