Sounds very intersting and it shows one more time that musicians shouldn't always go for the "perfectly clean" sound. A few dissonant/atonal tunes here and there can be very nice and can add a lot of depth to a song.

The background theme (that one with the bass notes in it) sounds very relaxing, the higher notes sometimes sound a bit "asian/chinese" (can't describe it in a better way :/ ), but I like that.

All in all, this is a very interesting tune that's definatly worth listening to.

PS: lol@the alarm clock going off at 3:31 :P

Bezman responds:

Heh. Well spotted.

You know, I once spilt water on my keyboard. I played it immediately afterwards and all the notes were REALLY out of tune. It actually sounded kinda cool, though I realised I'd better turn it off and let it dry so I'd perhaps have a working keyboard once again (it worked) rather than a novelty instrument that could only play highly modulating dissonant notes.

I note you have no criticisms!

I'd better re-record this at some point in the future then, on the keyboard, and see what you think of that.

I kinda like this song. I think the vocals are pretty good and fit quite well into the song, but as Coop already mentioned the bass needs to be far more present than it is now to sound like Industrial.

What indeed sounds very much like industrials are the vocals. I really like the effect you added to the voice. This gives this whole piece that "gothic"-feeling that every industrial song needs in my opinion. ;)

I hate to sound like an asshole but, Agh! I'm not trying to be industrial :P

ZOMG A STEEL DRUM!!!111one

Normally I hate that instrument, as it has been overused in billions of songs (and the sound of it really isn't that great to be honest), but you used it in a quite good way, I think.
It still sounds like "Jurian", but it also sounds very different from your other songs. So I guess you've done an amazing job with the steel drums. ^^

I really like that duet. While the one piano plays a rather sad melody, the other piano seems to float above that sad tune and plays a very happy melody. It also manages to cheer up that little sad piano and together they speed up during the song and mix themselves together to a quite cheerful melody.

Too bad that the ending is so slow and sad again. I would have liked it better it the two pianos would continue to speed up (to an insane speed and even faster!) until suddendly the ending comes with a big "bang!".

Great bassline here. It is always present but keeps it self in the background very well, so that also the other instruments could be heard very well.

I especially like the sax in this song. While the bassline is the main ingredient of the song, the sax adds the spice to it and together they create a very delicious meal, that I could eat every day and never be tired of it.

Great!

Sound very nice to me, but somehow I'm missing some part that really stands out. Everything floats along very nicely (and perfectly mixed), but that "little extra" is missing here, I think.
Now don't get me wrong, this still is a very good piece, as there is nothing bad in it either. But I think you still can push it a little further to the "good" side. ;)

The ending is very short and comes very surprisingly, but I liked it.

BreakingFaces responds:

Thank you.
I'll try and find that little extra :)

Ha! I just love that scene (and the whole film). The song is great too. Your interpretation of the song is very nice, and I have to say: THE PHASERS HAVE TO STAY IN THERE! It just wouldn't be same without them! :P

Only thing that bothers me is that it seems a tad bit too slow... speed that thing up a bit and it will sound even better!

Mad-Muppet responds:

Someone who likes the phasers! ^^
Could be cool with a little more speed, i hear ya. Thanks for the review!

That's a very nice interpretation of "Hey there Delilah", for sure.

Your voice sounds pretty fitting here, which sure is a good thing, heh.
Sometimes the lines where a bit too long to really fit in there, so you had to hurry up with your singing. But I guess doing spoof songs is just as hard as writing original songs.

Anyway, this song gave me a good laugh! Good work!

Wow, great song! The sound quality is very amazing. Everything is mixed perfectly, so that everything goes along well together. No outpowering of other instruments here. Great!

The vocals sound pretty much like SOAD to me, but that's not a bad thing ;) . The lyrics are pretty strange, but that's not a bad thing either. ^^

Great song!
