Well, the beat gets repititive very fast. It's just not enough variation in there to last for 4 minutes. You should use a more diverse beat next time, and maybe a variation in speed would be helpful, too. The sound quality itself is really nice.

As english is not my native language I really have a hard time understanding those lyrics, but as far as I can tell you did a good job here.
Also, the MC's sound very professional. You manage to rap quite well to the beat, which prevents this track from getting a low score.

PS: I think this doesn't belong in the "indie"-section...

It's a very atmospheric piece of music you created here. But I am still double-minded wether I like this or not.
I kinda like the "Drum 'n' Base"-style of this one, and that "flickering" sound of the keyboard creates a very dense atmosphere. But I miss some diversity in this one, to me it sounds a bit "meaningless". There's nothing really outstanding or catchy in this tune (except maybe for the keyboard).
So, it is again a piece that could be played in the background of a scene very well.

The acutal mixing of the instruments is - again - very good and you've done a great job here... again ;) .

Again, this is mixed together very well. You really have a way of not letting any instrument overpower the others. Once again, good work!

But I have to say that I don't like this song as a whole. I am not that much into "military sounds", but I try to be as objective as possible.
As I said: You did a great job mixing the instruments and it really does sound militaristic in a way. I like how you started and ended with that beating sound, but I think that this song is a tad bit too long. You should have made it a bit shorter, this way one would find it easier listening to the whole song.

I don't meant that in a negative way: This song is again adapted for being played in the background, as there is nothing outstanding in this song and it wouldn't distract the listener from the film or flash if this is being used there.

This has a very epic sound, like one would use to add to some "medieval"-film, maybe even as the main theme, as it is very quiet and it is adapted for being played in the background, while the heroes of said film are joining at the beginning, or riding to their "final battle".
I like how you used the instruments in this one. Everything is mixed very well and there's no instrument that overpowers any other instrument in this.

I think you've done a great job here. The single instruments are going quite well together and you created a very nice and catchy tune here.
Also, this song is very diversified. At one point it reminds me of Dire Straits ("Money for nothing", as Coop has already said), and then it reminds me of the early 80's pop (which is a good AND a bad thing, both at the same time ^^).

Anyway, I like this song and I can imagine listening to that while playing some sort of racing game.

Mataro responds:

I'm still not sure how this sounds much like Dire Straits.. I mean.. Maybe very mildly.. But that's a stretch xD

Oh well, to each their own, right? I'm glad to hear you liked it. I can't say I've listened to much pop, so I wouldn't really know about the 80's bit >.>

As for fitting a racing game..? Yeah, I could see that. Though I've been told people think of a fighting game, primarily. Could go either way I guess.. Thanks for coming by, and I'm sorry it took so long for me to reply!

Hey, this reminded me a bit of "(Anesthesia) Pulling Teeth" by Metallica.
The sound quality is quite similar to this recording, and even the distortion sounds a bit like the aforementioned song ^^.
I think you played a great track here, even though I think that it would sound better if you'd turn the distortion down a bit. Right now it sounds pretty "squishy" (don't know if this is the right expression. What I mean is: it doesn't sound very clear).

mhb responds:

i understand what you're sayin' with the distortion bein' way too much.

isn't anesthesia a bass solo though? i guess it doesn't make a diference when you have a staticy recording huh? but, slayer is proof that you can have the shittiest quality of recording and still sell albums.

but yeah the gain was by far way too amped for this.

Great loop! It's done technically perfect and the acutaly music is great, too ^^.
Good guitars and very good drums. Keep it up!

Great track! Just everything fits very well together here. Riffs, drums, sound in general, just everything.
I'd like to hear this one with vocals ^^.

It's a good riff (and it sure IS heavy), but there's something missing... It just sounds a bit too generic for me. But I like the effects you used towards the end. It adds a lot of diversity, even though this one is so short.

DarKsidE555 responds:

I know what you mean...ah well, can't always be "mindblowing" can it? ;P

Anyways, thanks for checking man!

Very powerful riff. I really like it, although it nearly blew my boxes away... :P

Especially the lead guitar is played very good and it is kept somewhat in the background in a nice and fitting way. Good job!

Bad-Man-Incorporated responds:

Thanks man, sorry about the overpowering bass. I can't even listen to this on my 5.1 . Old equipment here and not experienced at eqing and all that jazz back then. haha. Anyways, of older songs, its one of my favorites. Glad you like it, Thanks for another review!
