Nice

I like the atmosphere the song creates. It really seems as if there's something not right, as if some traitor is among the persons in the room.

Too bad the main melody is so repetitve, though. A few changes here and there would be pretty nice.

Yeah well... the song isn't meant to be the main attraction. it is suppose to represent something or to go with a video or something. But for the repetitiveness, i guess adding a fiew instruments here and there would be nice. thanks for the review! very appreciated.

A very nice track. At first I thought the drums are a bit random and out of place, but it seems I always get a false impression of a song when I hear it for the first time these days.
Because I couldn't believe that you would submit something so bad I turned up the volume of my speakers and listened to it again. And what can I say? I WAS wrong when I first listened to the song. ^^

The intro is pretty cool with that creepy background sound and the voice. I also like how you slowly bring in the drums after that. Sounds much better and smoother than letting the drums start all of a sudden with a big bang.

The little pause at 2:18 is a tad bit too long for my liking. It nearly sounds as if the song is already over at that place. Maybe you should fade in the melody faster or let it play instantly after the fade out.

Also the ending is a bit disappointing. It sounds as if the song is cut off in the middle of a note there. A few seconds longer to let the last note ring out would sound better, I think.

This song has a very nice beat and even though I'm not a hughe fan of reversed cymbals, the drums sound good as well. Okay, the sound quality of the drums isn't that good (it's pretty noticeable that you used a preset), but what the drums are playing sounds good.

I think all the editing you did payed off in the end. While I haven't heard an earlier version of this I think that now the mastering is complete. Everything can be heard just fine and the piano has a very good volume.

Also even though the song is only 2:50 long you added a lot of different parts to this, so the song never gets boring. Good work!

Not a huge fan of reversed cymbals? That's a first :P. Well, the drums were just random sounds I got from the Internet. I'm glad the editing payed off, it's something I worked pretty hard on (I didn't ACTUALLY master this. I just twisted a few volume knobs here and there, and ended up with a rather good mix. Anyway, glad you enjoyed my song. It is a little on the short side, but that's the thing about me. When I make a really good song, I can't stand continuing it, and want to submit it ASAP :P. oh well, thanks a lot for the review, and keeping my 10/10 perfect score so far XD.

Good beat, but very repititve

The ryhthm of this song is very nice, but there isn't too much else happening in this song. A main melody or some more parts that break up the structure of the song would be nice. It also would make the song less repititve.

Also, the song doesn't loop that well. It's quite noticeable when the loop starts over.

Thank you for the review, i admit, it is a little repetitive. But it is a minutue long loop. And It loops well if you download and listen to the file.

Your feedback is appreciated, and ill keep in mind what you've said. :)

Very interesting mix of genres

Wait, do the people go to the fifth floor and then jump out of the window to kill themselves or do they go there after they tried to commit suicide?-.-

Anyway, the song is really nice. The mix between ambient and DnB is something I never heard before, but it seems to work perfect. At least it works the way you did it.

At first the song was a bit too slow for me. The DnB only seems to be more present at the later parts of the song, but after I listened to it a few times the atmosphere you create with the ambient sounds in the earliert parts grew on me. At first I thought the atmosphere was a bit boring, but after a few listens I now think it's a very good atmosphere. Somewhere between spooky, creepy and mysterious.

I now also appreciate the slow build up, I realized that the song - or rather the atmosphere of it - would be destroyed if you start with heavy DnB right away. Now you keep the listener interested and the slow build up makes the song a lot less repititve. :)

So I would advise THE LISTENER to listen to this track more than once. It's totally worth it! ;)

i shouldnt lawl, but i fuckin did, when people try and kill themselves but fail, they are sent to the fifth floor

the song is about death, so i agree that it wouldnt sound bad for it to ust jump in with a heavy ass drum beat, i kinda saved those for the climax of the song :)

im really happy with the atmosphere i created, i spent quite a bit of time on it

glad you liked it dude, thanks for a great review

peace out

Very nice remix

A pretty cool song. It starts off very slow. I mean, the melody is nice (well, it's Tetris), but there isn't anything added to it at all. But then slowly you build up the song. At first I didn't even notice that there was another melody in the background until I suddendly realized that I was hearing the melody for quite some time already. ^^

Well, there's not much else I could say about this. I think it's perfect as it is now. The slow build up is interesting and it kept me interested in the song. It also isn't repititve even though the main melody (the Tetris song) is indeed very repititve. But it isn't so noticeable in this song because you constantly add other things. So the listener has something else to focus on so the repititiveness of the main melody doesn't carry so much weight. ^^

Good voice

Very nice demo reel. The text is pretty funny but you present it in a very "evil" way, which builds a nice contrast. At first I didn't know if I should laugh or not, but at the end ("Let me put a cake to the face of yours") I just had to chuckle. ^^

Too bad you don't show off some other voices you are capable of doing here. But since this was meant for a collab maybe it was just too much of a hassle to add some more voices to it.

Thank you for the review.

Nice transition

It starts off a bit generic, but the beat is very nice.
Good thing that the "genericness" is replaced by a very nice melody at around 0:15.

The transition in the middle of the song is very nice, it comes a bit unexpected but it really fits in there. I also like how you start the second part of the song out of a "rewind" sound. I think you did a good job there.

However, the second part of the song doesn't sound as good as the first part in my opinion. While the beat and the kick are still nice there are no melodies anymore. I'm not an expert when it comes to house music, but I think even in house you have melodies from time to time. ^^

Box-Killa responds:

yeah the bass was the melody lol. Hey there was some slight melody in there with a fast sorta cutting synth, and a pad. dont know what you mean.

Piano is lost

There's a lot of stuff going on at the same time during the song, it almost sounds a bit messy and overloaded. But only almost. I think you came as close to the "messy sound" line as you could, but you didn't cross it, which is a good thing.

The song is pretty dark and the atmosphere is almost sinister. I think this is because of the very deep bassy sound we can hear right from the beginning of the song.

However, the 8-bit piano seems to be a bit lost in there. It tries to compete with the deep sounding instruments, but it fails. The more happy sounding 8-bit can't stand up to the dark and sinister atmosphere, which is really a pitty, because it would be a very interesting contrast between those two feelings (happy and sinister).

Good

The piano loop is really nice and the background music sounds good as well.

The cymbal at 0:52 (and later at 1:38) sounds a bit strange. Not only the sound itself but also the little echo seems to be a bit out of place. But the addition of the drums are a good idea. It was a bit unexpected after the intro, but they fit very well into the song.

The vocals are a nice addition, if only there where more vocals than just this short part. And just like the cymbals, the little echo effect doesn't really fit there. It sounds more like the song suddendly jumps there.

Yeah, the crash I chose is not very good and I misconfigured the delay on it.
