[Cries of the Tormented]

Good song

The intro is very creepy, could be the score to a psycho thriller or even a horror movie.

The track that follows after the intro isn't so creepy anymore, but the atmosphere is definitely very dark, despite the high pitched notes you used throughout the track.

While I don't like the outro here too much (it's a bit too abrupt) it's still nice that you ended the song the same way you started it, with a small "bang".

Thanks for the review, Haggard! :D. I really don't know what got into me when I made this song. I was aiming for some normal trance with a choir intro, but I continued by adding more choirs to the intro, some scary effects, a bell, and it became the creepiest intro ever made XD. Then, I just had to go with the flow and make everything else creepy :P. A really weird fact is that I only got inspiration and ideas for the song at night - in the day, all I could do was play around with the song a little, but at night new melodies, ideas and inspiration came rushing to me xP. Anyway, as for that outro, maybe if I slow down the ending a little it won't be abrupt. Anyhow, thanks again for the helpful review!

Well...

I really don't know what's wrong with this song. I listened to it a few times in a row now and couldn't find anything I could critizise. ^^

I like the melodies here a lot. They create a very laid-back atmosphere. The background instruments intensify this atmosphere as they hold themselves in the background very nicely.

Only thing you could maybe add are some sound fx, like wind or water... but other than that, the song is fine!

Good track

This track has a better sound quality than the last one I reviewed from you. But the vocals still sound a bit muffled, so I think you still have to experiment a little bit with various settings for your mic until you come come up with a better quality.

For a freestyle the rapping is pretty good. There are some parts here and there that don't sound too natural, but overall your rapping is good and you really are very talented in my opinion. Now all you have to do is to try to make the best out of your talent by constantly practicing. ^^

thank you so much.. i have been practicing loads recently and my new mic is excellent.. i will definitely work on the dodgy parts. i need to work on breathing cause i lose it at bits.. but i should have it worked out soon.

i will continue to drop tracks on NG and work on breathing.. mic quality.. and as well as that try to properly write a song. i record all in one go as if it was live on stage, so if i muffle it up i ruin the whole recording and the lyrics may not work if i re-rap. as well as that.. i have bad days-good days.. some days its easy to rap others i struggle.. so i should try and write songs.. so that i remember the track.

Ends too abruptly

This song creates a very creepy atmosphere. The effects are well chosen here, it almost feels as if I'm ventureing into a deep cave and I experience very strange things there.

I wished the song was a bit longer, though. The outro seems to be a bit rushed, just suddendly ending on that one note. I think with a bit more work you could come up with a better, more satisfying ending.

hm, well theyre all supposed to be more of a 'atmospheric' track, its in that light atleast i make this album. :)
Besides theyr all meant as a loop so it doesnt actually 'end'

[Your Wall (WIP)]

Good song, but too loud

Again a pretty nice song. I again like the vocals, they are pretty good. The rhythm here is nice as well and I was tapping my foot along to it on the very first time I listened to it.

The problem here is that everything sounds very loud, almost as if the instruments are overamplified, so you should try to get things sorted out when you record the final song.

With regards to the loudness, yea, I think I may have overdone the compression abit. It helps give the song its energy but it probably borders on "listener fatigue" . I plan on tweaking this once I've written the lyrics.

Nice song

Amazing song. I really can imagine hearing this in a strategy game or an RPG. It creates a very nice and tense atmosphere and it kind of gets my adrenaline pumping. Just as if I'm watching a video sequence and I just can't wait to get on playing.

Also the song keeps itself very nice in the background, which in my opinion is a must for game music. Because if it doesn't it tends to distract the player.

Needs more

There isn't happening too much in this piece. While I can get the picture of a black abyss while listening to this it's just too repetitve with little to no changes during the song.

A few more instruments wouldn't hurt here and also a break in the current structure which seems to consist only of a single sound being repeated over and over again.

[Mellow Man]

Good

The melodies in this song are very great. They are catchy and original, I think I could listen to them the whole day and they wouldn't get boring.

However, the drums could use some more work, the kick sounds very weak and the drum pattern doesn't seem to change too much during the song.

Also the outro could use a little extra touch. I know it's kinda hard to find a good outro for a song, but I think a fade out might work quite well here. At least the cymbal at the very end of the song doesn't really fit there, so maybe it will already sound better if you would just leave that out.
