Good song, nice intro

The intro sounds interesting. I like the hissing noises in the background and how the bass is turned all the way down. Almost feels as if I was listening to this on an old radio. But then the scenery "zooms in" and we can hear this song in full quality.

The main beat and the melodies are very catchy, but they get a bit repetitive towards the end, so I think you should try to add some more parts to this song where you break up the main beat a bit.

All of my beats I make for people rap or Spit over so I try not to overpower the Melody with more instruments. Just a Chorus and verse and a mini Bridge so the rappers voice is still powerful too. Thanks for the review though

Chaotic... but cool

Sounds really chaotic, but it has a nice beat and a nice guitar like sound. But it's hard to really get into this song, because everything seems to be all over the place the whole time.

Also, the overall sound quality is a bit low. It all sounds a bit too muffled (except for the drums, they sound fine), don't know if this is supposed to sound like this, but I don't like it too much either way.

I also think a slightly longer outro could help this song. It's quite short right now and I tend to like longer songs better. So if you worked a bit on the outro you could easily add another 30 seconds to the song, which in my opinion is a decent length for a song.

So, overall the song isn't too bad. The main beat is quite cool actually. But there's also some room for improvements left.

Thanks, I'd best get to work on improving this then.

Nice

A very nice piece. Could be used as background music for various scenes, but it is also nice to just sit down and listen to this.

The piano is one of my favorite instruments and this song is one of the reasons why: You can create great songs with only the piano. It's hard to do with other instruments (only drums in a song? Can get boring quickly. Guitar? Can also get boring very quickly. But a piano? Hell, just play on and on and never stop. :) ).

Well, I listened to this about 6 or 7 times now and I just can't find anything that's wrong with it. ^^

Thats a great compliment :)

thanks man.

Sounds good so far

The mixing seems to be pretty rough at this point. It's either "full volume" or "not playing at all" it seems. Some volume settings in between for the melodies would sound nice, just like you did with the transition to the very hyperactive last part.

Also the song gets a bit repetitive in the main beat in the first part of the song. Plus there are a few parts where the melody stops completly and only the beat can be heard. This doesn't sound too good to me and I think you should try to introduce some more instruments into the song to get rid of those "silent moments" (well, not really silent, but when only the main beat plays it all feels a bit empty).

Dj-GST responds:

I agree with you man. The mixing is definitely rough, mostly because I just threw this together, and should totally be fixed. I'll try to add more smooth transitions as well.

I will fix the repetitiveness, I'm currently working on a couple more melodies as well as I slightly different set up, and I will definitely add some pads and extra instruments to get rid of those "silent moments".

Thanks for reviewing man. I appreciate it!

Voice samples are too quiet

Sometimes the voice samples are very hard to make out because they are so quiet compared to the music.
Also, the speech at the beginning was too long in my opinion. It goes on seemingly forever, before the song starts.

I think the samples take away too much from the song. It sounds nice, has some very good melodies and the mixing is done in a nice way. But the voices constantly "force" me to stop listening to the music... so yeah, I think you should take out most of the samples and maybe only leave in the sample at the beginning and put in another one towards the end of the song.

imaybe if u had heard the sample better u wud understand.

Nice

The intro does sound a bit weird with the kind of "turbulent" sounds (the notes change pitch while they are ringing it seems). But once you get used to this the song sounds actually pretty amazing.

I also had the image of a snowy and icy landscape in mind while listening to this. The notes echo back from the ice and because of this constant echoing they change pitch various times.

The song gets a bit repetitive towards the end, though. Maybe some changes in the main melody would help here.

DJ-Chilvan responds:

Thnx for the review! Haha, that turbulent sound was accidental, but I kept it because to me, it was one of those accidents gone good. I had a similar imagery too, I tried to make this song as euphoric as possible. Trust me, I tried implementing a main melody, but it just didn't fit.

Thanks again for the review!

Sounds good

Interesting mix between some classical and some modern elements. I like the background beat very much, it sounds very driving. But the strings are nice as well. They have a good tempo and the melody they play sounds very catchy.

The piano in the middle part of the song seems to be a little bit too quiet. Also, towards the end the song gets a bit repetitive.

Nice cover

I like the cover version better than the original. The original seems to contain everything I didn't like about the 80's, heh.

I like the guitar very much here. It has a very good sound and is played in a very good way. Too bad the cover is so short though. It would have been nice if you had included some more parts that you made up yourself but fit to the original. It's propably a hard task, but I think it would sound pretty good, plus it would definetly make the song a bit longer.

Jeffaro responds:

Personally, I think the bass sounds brutal if its played at the original tempo. The A and E progression is not to be underestimated!

Anyways, as for the shortness, I ran out of steam real fast when I made this thing. Looking back on it, I shouldn't have made this.

Thanks for ze review!

Funny song

Well, the music here doesn't sound that good as they play only very simple riffs that repeat over and over, but they are only there to back up the voice. And they do this job pretty good. Together with the voice the instruments create a very funny sounding song with lyrics that are funny in a very twisted way.

I especially liked the chicken solo. ^^

yeah, i should sack the band they really do suck... oh, hang on, that was me!

cheers for the review man... yeah tunes are pretty simple but, as you pointed out, they're only there as an excuse for me to sing about chickens :D

hey glad you liked it and thanks for listening and the honest feedback!

Nice

This song is really good. Everything fits together just fine, even though you have quite an unusual mix of synths and other instruments here. Also the mixing is done in a very good way. Everything can be heard just fine, without anything overpowering any other instrument.

Somehow this song reminds me a bit of the movie score to "Requiem for a Dream", but I don't know why I feel reminded of that particular score. ^^

Anyway, very nice song!
