Simple but funny

Well the comic is drawn in a very simple way. Only one colour in the background and only one character in one panel at a time.
But Luigi itself is drawn in a very nice way. I especially like his facial expressions here.

The joke is delivered in a nice way, so you've done a good job here. I hope ypu turn this into a series. :)

Iplaygames responds:

I'm considering it, but I either need more bad puns, or actual jokes... they wouldn't all be with Luigi either.

Thanks

Good

For just messing around with photoshop this picture came out really nicely.
It's a very good picture of the moon you chose to mess around with. I also like the choice of colours here, I think it fits very well to the moon.
The darkish colours add a very nice "nightly" touch to the pic. It's as if I was lying on the ground watching the moon on a nice late summer's night.

Thanks a lot, I was going for an upwards view type deal here.

Very good picture

I really like this picture. It has some very nice details like the pile of skulls or the spikes on the throne.
It also has a very funny and comical touch to it.

The background is done in a nice way as well. The shiluette of a city (most likely the same city we can see in the newgrounds header).

The king might need a smaller throne, though. He looks kinda lost on the big chair there. ^^

I'm glad you liked it, I plan to go back to it an many of my other images and just redo them so it's most likely the king will be replaced.

Good

A very nice picture indeed. The concept is nice and I got a bit reminded of that "smart plant" in Fallout 2 that want's to change location. Even though it can't walk on it's own I somehow got reminded of it.

Anyway, as I've said, the picture looks nice. The drawings are pretty good and very detailed and I like how you coloured the plants. Not just boring two colours (green for the stalk, a different colour for the blossom) but very interesting colours indeed.

Too bad the picture looks a bit "blurry" from time to time. I guess this is because you chose to paint it with pencils instead of a different tool. Or maybe it is because of your scanner.

The only thing that really bothers me with this picture is the path we can see in the right bottom. It looks as if it gets wider the more it goes to the right. Maybe that was intentional, but it does look a bit weird. I know, there's supposed to be a perspective in this pic, but I think the bottom line of the path should be a bit "closer" to the upper line.

Merol responds:

It looks blurry because of the pencils? or because of my scanner? maybe both.
About the path, you mean the last part of the path? If you mean about the part that look like this: ________/ then yeah, it was intentional, if you look closer you can see that the plants get fired out at the end of the path.

If you are not talking about that, then it wasn't intentional, my bad.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!

Amaterasu?

Haha, I've been playing a lot "Okami" lately so I instantly thought this was Amaterasu on this picture. ^^

Anyway, I don't like this wolf as much as I liked the tribal dragon. I think it's because of the colour and the lightening. The colour is so dark and the lightening is dark as well. So the whole picture looks too dark for me and it almost feels as if I can't see the picture clearly but only shades of it.

So the advice to try and scan the pictures holds true for this submission as well.

However, what I can see looks nice as well. Again I like the "contradiction" in this picture. The forms itself look rather simple, but you used those "simple" forms to create a pretty complex looking picture of a wolf.

You know, if I ever decide to get some tattoos I would ask you to create some pictures for me. Because I think the dragon and the wolf look so awesome it would be a shame NOT to get those tattooed to your body. :D

Haha i will not have tatoos :P also, great game okami :P

Thanks for reviewing :D

Mean clown

Too bad the image is so small, so we miss out on some details here, I think.

This clown looks like the only thing he would enjoy is, if all kids suddendly would vanish and he didn't have to bother with those little brats anymore.
If I was a kid and I would look at this clown it would get nightmares.

Maybe you could try to create a more happy looking face paint for this clown while keeping his facial expression intact. That way it would create a great dispute: On the one hand the clown looks like a normal clown with a nice face painting that is meant to make kids laugh, but on the other hand his facial expression would indicate that he's a dangerous person who hates nothing more than being laughed at.

MCarsten responds:

Yeah, i agree with you, could be better if I put a more bigger size for it.

Yeah, this clown was to be a scary clown for kids, that have a giant hate for all of them, thinking to kill the maximum that he can and for that, I choosed to don't move with his facial expression, I want to show to people that his an evil clown, a dangerouns madman, so I keep his bad face.

Thanks for the nice review!! Thanks ;D

Full size

Damn you and your large pics. :P

Seriously though, this pic needs to be viewed in full size. At first I was like: "Hm, not much effort put into this...", then I clicked the "view in full size" link and I was like: "Whoa, actually there's A LOT of detail here!"

Only downside of this picture is that it doesn't offer too many colours. Maybe you could add some more to the drawing to make it even better.

HeavyTank responds:

Haha, I like large pics because they have a very high resolution, and that means that you can see all the details...if NG didn't allow more than 2000x2000, I'd probably make them even larger :D
Anyway, I was trying to keep it simple with this one, but I guess that it isn't my style...next time, uber-details and lots of background.
