Oh, it's her again

Oh yeah, I think I've seen her in some other pictures as well. But why does she always looks so angry? That duck is (kinda) cute, so she could at least try and smile a bit. :P

Just like SeeD I was a bit confused about the mountains. They look like they are located right next to that girl, which would mean those "mountains" are small rocks, but then the trees are pretty small as well. Or the girl is a huge giant, but that would mean the duck can't be that small either...
Only possible solution is: The mountains are pretty far away. I don't know if that is possible, but you should try to give this image more "depth", so we would instantly know the mountains are far away.

But that's about the only negative thing I could find in this picture.
The colours are a bit unusual, but that's "artistic freedom", I guess. ^^

She's not angry, she's trying to grab the duck. It's more like a concentrated face!

Yeah, those are rocks and are next to her. The trees are normal, they seem to be small but they are actually far away! I failed at the perspective again...

I think I should have picked another color for the sky, and the duck looks a bit green, like if it was fluorescent or something like that.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!

Well...

Well, the image doesn't look too interesting. The landscape looks too bland and there hardly isn't anything that requires tii much artistic talent.

Then I read in the comments that you made part of the picture pixel-by-pixel. Well, this sure changes a lot. It's much harder to pixel an image than to simply draw it with a brush tool or a line tool.

Aynway, the picture could still use some work. For example the windows somteims aren't lined up correctly, which does look a bit weird.

Also, that "fallen off" piece of that one building seems to be too wide to really fit on the rest of the building still standing.

Overall, the picture is decent (especially considering the fact you pixeled some parts of it), but on the other hand (not taking the pixel-work into account) it also leaves a lot to be desired, as the landscape does look kind of boring.

Hmm cake!

Very nice 8 bit graphics here.
I like the cherry on top of this cake, it just adds this little extra note.

Of course, the colouring is unusual as well, but everything is possible with dyestuffs these days. In fact, my gf once baked a cake that was pink. XD

Well, as I've said I like this picture.

Neat idea

A neat idea to carve Tall 'n Short in a pumpkin, I guess. Not too much work required here, but on the other hand, the flash that insipired you to do this didn't require too much work as well, heh.

However, the flower bucket in the background should've been moved out of the way before taking this picture. It took me about five minutes to figure out what I was seeing there in the background... ^^

Nice

This is quite a nice picture, even though it has some small flaws here and there.

I like the scenery, it looks very quiet from this point of view, but I expect a big ocean right behind that hill (it's a lighthouse after all) which can be a dangerous thing from time to time.

But I think the lighthouse is a tad bit too small. While I'm no expert on what lighthouses should look like or can look like the ones I saw so far seemed to be a lot bigger than the house you painted here.

Also there are some small dots of blue colour on the roof of the house. I don't think those dots belong there and that's one of the small flaws I was talking about earlier.

But seeing how you did this in 4 and a half hours I'm really impressed with what you came up with. I think if you had some more time to work on this picture you could easily correct those small mistakes.

Thanks very much for the review. I just looked at the full-sized painting and just noticed them! Once I get some time, I will paint red over these dots and whatnot so thanks for pointing that out.

A fisherman?

Oh, so that's a fisherman? I though it was a dog standing in a shallow river, heh.

Anyway, the picture itself is nice. The surroundings look very realistic, especially the mountain in the background (the sky looks nice as well).

The water doesn't look bad, but I think it could use some more work. I know that it's pretty hard to paint water that looks realistic and I do like what I can see here on this picture. But especially the water in the foreground - where you tried to draw the water "in movement" - it looks a bit unfinished.

Overall, the picutre does look very good, but it does lose a bit of it's quality because you had to take a picture of it in order to upload it here. I really would like to see the "original" of this painting, but I'm afraid this won't be possible. ^^

Yeah, I guess you're right... but thanks for the tips and the review!

Nice picture

This is a pretty good picture, I like your style. It looks very comical, which also fits good to the facial expression your character has.

The background is nice as well, I also like how you "blurred" it a bit so that the focus lies on the character.

However, I think the character should have some facial hairs. It now looks too much like a "baby face" and not like the face of a strong warrior. It doesn't even have to be a full beard, just some stubbles would be enough I think.

Cheers for the review, Too bad i've got worse at drawing.

nice

Only two colours used here, but the picture still looks good. All the lines around that creature make the pic almost surreal. At least it's kind of hard to keep the focus on the middle of the picture, because the eyes tend to always twitch to the left and right because it seems the lines move... ^^

I also like how you put your name right in the middle of the piece but it blends in so great that I only noticed it on a second glance.

Good work!

Nice

It's a pretty good picture. I like the colouring here a lot. The purple on the edges indeed looks a bit strange, but overall the colouring is done very nicely.

I also like the pose of the girl. Indeed it looks like she has won a pretty big price.

What I don't like however is the way the face of the girl is covered with her hair. It would look a lot better imo if her face was visible.

Merol responds:

THANK YOU SO MUCH MAN!!!!
Yeah, I have only 12 pastel bars, so, I didn't have lot's of choises with the colors.
Yes! She won! She's happy!!
And her face is not covered with her hair, there's actually no face!

THANKS AGAIN!!

Scouted?

Sorry, scribblings like this won't get you scouted. The art portal is for quality drawings, not stuff like what you present here.

I have to agree with SeeD419, this picture looks like if a 4 year old drew this and all this lableing makes the picture even worse. Don't lable the drawings, leave room for interpretations to the viewer.

Also, if you colour your drawings make sure you get an even colouring. The creature in the picture still has some blank spots while other parts of the body are coloured in a dark green (and yet other parts are a lighter green). This does really look very childish.

Then, there are no backgrounds. Just a white canvas. Apart from the mountain tops where the creature is standing on (which too looks very bad) there's not much else to see in the picture.
