I like the intro a lot. It sounds pretty fast paced and offers some nice beats.

After the intro it gets a bit slower. Time for the listener to catch some breath after that intro! ;)

After that, the song loses a bit of it's previous "line". It's just as you say in the author commet. "A little bit of everything".

Now, that's not a bad thing. It keeps the track from getting boring and you also have some very nice melodies and rhythms in this song. But I'm missing something like a theme here. Some main beat or melody that the song is build on.

Also, the ending is to abrupt. A fade out or a few seconds of silence at the end would sound better.

I was sort of building it around the lead synth in the beginning, when it drops out with the fast paced stuff, the pizz strings come in with the piano, but the end is alot of experiementing and recorded a bit too...

This is not a bad song, but it's not exactly what I'd call "great".
The build up is done very nicely and I like the change over from the intro to the "real" song.
The melody is nice and cheerful and pretty catchy. But sadly the song is missing a real climax. It goes on, it sounds nice and then it ends (well, it loops).

SupraDarky responds:

Yeah I didn't really want to add a climax to it so it could remain calm and peaceful. I made it that way so it can loop seemlessly, I actually had a platforming game in mind when I did this. :P Thanks for the review Haggard and I'm happy you liked it!

The description really helps to understand the song better.

I thinl the opening part is a tad bit too long. I imagine, if the deities only allow me to peek in through the gate that I don't have that much time to look around.
So, either make the intro a bit shorter or change the description to "[...] for you to look around." XD

Anyways, I like the changeovers from the sky to the earth to the sky falling. You've done a great job here!

Glad you liked it.
I have an excuse! But not a very good one XD Time moves slower in the skyland... yeaah... That's it...
Thanks for the feedback.

Very atmosphic track. But I had more of a deep sea or a large cave in mind than the depth of the space, but whatever. It doesn't take away from the great atmosphere you manage to create with the different sound effects.

Maybe you should try to add a few higher pitched sounds to create a more "spacey" feeling.

Mad-Muppet responds:

Thanks alot for your review! And yeah, high-pitched sounds are a good idea, I'll have to keep that in mind :D

It's a good oboe track, but sadly the oboe is too quiet! It struggles to be heard against the background melody.

Also, at 0:12 the track sounds a little bit dissonant, but maybe that's just me.

The ending is a bit of a let down. Either try to loop the track or try to find a "bigger" ending to this.
Also, if you don't loop this you should try to make the song a bit longer.

Thanks for the review!
I agree on every point basically, I'm re-writing the piece and will probably upload a longer version sometime during this week,
I am also changing the entire composition of the strings, I pretty much rushed that process completely "D
I've also changed the frequency on the oboe so it cuts a little bit more through the rest of the piece,
Thanks again!

A very nice song. A mixture of a parody and a real love song, heh. ^^

The voice of the one singer is a bit strange, but together with the other voices it sounds pretty good.

The guitar is nice and simple, just how "love songs" should be.

lol@Gorebastad going techno. ^^

To the song: I like the videogame-ish feel of that song, even though I expected something more dirty and heavy when you mentioned Gorebastard in the author comments.

Anyway, the song would fit very well in a RPG type game. Most likely this would be the track that would be played during fights. The song has a very nice length and it doesn't get repititve. Nice work! :)

SolusLunes responds:

yeah, that would be the day, when he does techno.

Glad you liked it! :D

Not that bad for a test, I'd say. The drum and kick sounds work very well here, create a pretty good background track, even though it doesn't loop that well.

Too bad that the song gets repititve so fast, though. It's only one minute long, so there's not that much room for diversity in here.

I really hope to hear something longer and better planned out song from you in the near future! :)

I like the melodies in here and the fast pace of the song. I also like the different parts you put in here. Those are keeping the song from getting too repititve.

Too bad that the main theme is heard so often. You should vary that one bit as it starts to get a bit annoying towards the end of the song.

HMS-Productions responds:

Yeah you're right, variation is one of my weak points, but I think i've gotten better since this song

The guitar and the beat sound pretty nice. The main problem is that FL always will sound like FL, so that it all songs created with it sound more or less the same. But I think you managed to come up with something different, at least I didn't have the feel that I already knew the song even though I have never listened to it before like I have with many other FL-tracks.

I like how the song slowly builds up. But sadly, there isn't a real climax in here. It seems as if the song is building up the whole time and then it's suddendly over before it really started.
Some sort of main theme would help here, I think.

TheMayo responds:

yea, i understand tht FL isn't the best program, but its the only thing i got, nd i hafta use wat i have. I kno theres a lack of a climax, but i dnt really have an interest in taking this piece n e further. thnx for the input
