Nice track

The finger drums are amazing. ^^ It's always nice to see artists come up with quite unusual ideas and then turn those ideas into something so awesome.

I like the atmosphere of this track. The melodies sound pretty good with that echo like effect. I also like the faster paced part later in the song and I think maybe you should have introduced that part earlier, maybe after you slowed down the song at 1:30.

finger drums were cool imo as well

i have another "kit" lined up to use in my next track using recorded tracks like that :)

Nice vocals

You don't hear too many songs that have vocals in the audio portal, so it's always a big plus if a song offers some vocals.

The voice sounds very nice. The effects on the voice are good too, but for my liking they are a tad bit too much. I like it better if there are as little effects as possible on a voice.

Anyway, the song is really nice. I like how the voice blends in with the background music. Sometimes when you can hear vocals in a song it sounds as if the voice isn't really a part of the music, but this isn't the case here.

MusicIsBliss responds:

The instruments were actually added one at a time with the vocals all layed out and mixed already, so what you says makes perfect sense. I felt like I had to overproduce the vocals because she sang, well, not so great. She was off key frequently and tremoloed many notes that she shouldn't have. It was a new approach for me and I quite enjoyed it.

Nice

I like the melodies in here. They create a very "jungle like" atmosphere (so the title is very fitting).

I also like how the drums and the melodies work together in this song. Every instrument leaves just enough room for the other instruments so they can unfold their effects, but at the same time they are strong enough to unfold their own effect on the listener.

Nice work!

Looks like I'm getting the hang of balancing too! Thanks a lot :).

Very nice rhythm

I like the build up of the song. It slowly increases in intensity and while it does so we can hear a very nice rhythm. I found myself tapping my foot to it the very first time I heard it.

The melodies used in the song are also pretty cool. They sound unique (at least I haven't heard anything like it in the audio portal) and create quite a good atmosphere.

The outro is also done nicely. It's different from what you can usually hear in many songs, so you've done a great job composing this song. Too bad it's so short though.

I think it's the first time I decide to use pizzicatos and harps in my pieces. I always wanted to do the whole transition from a low octave to a high octave with a harp glissando and it was actually quite fun writing it. It gives it a very dramatic feel.

I'm glad you liked it. Thanks for favoriting it and thanks for the review :D

Nice and fast

I like the pace of the song. It's very fast without sounding too "hectic". The main beat could use a bit more bass, though.

Also the guitar doesn't sound too good, but I guess there are no other, better sounding guitar presets, at least I haven't heard any better ones on NG yet. ^^

Aynway, the song still is nice, it's fast and it's varied. Good work!

Good song, repetitive drums

It's a bit repetitive at the beginning, but it gets better during the song. I really like the mix between rock and techno here, even though the guitars sound awfully artificial (especially when they play riffs, during the solo the guitar sounds pretty good).

But I think the drums need some more variations, they don't seem to change that much during the song and they get almost boring towards the end of the song.

OH35 responds:

Thanks for your review. Yes perhaps the drums are a bit repetitive. This was our very first attempt to mix the genres and for that we were extremely cautious while using the drums, perhaps too much :-) We will take your suggestions without a doubt in consideration while making our future tracks.

Thanks again.

Repetitive

The bass here is pretty good and the melody loop in the background is really catchy, but the song is too repetitive and it's too simple to really keep me interested.

I think you should try to break up the main beat every now and then to introduce some other instruments and/or melodies. This way you would keep the song from getting boring too fast.

I really like this song

For some strange reason this song reminds me of "Beetlejuice". The piano sounds a lot like it would come straight from that theme song.
Maybe it's the atmosphere that this song creates that reminds me of that cartoon series... it's just as creepy as the cartoon.

I like this song very much, but it takes some time to get used to it. When I listened to it the first time I wasn't too happy about the constant "stopping" of the melodies. Now I am listening to this song the 6th or 7th time in a row and the way the song "stops" the melodies really grew on me. I realized that the atmosphere becomes even more creepy when we can hear the piano only every now and then. It's just as if I was walking through a big house which appears to be haunted and I sometimes can hear some weird noises.
It'd be more creepier if I hear the noises only sometimes, because I would be frightened, just waiting, when will those noises start again?

I really like this song.

Calamaistr responds:

Theres no piano in this track but i think you mean the synth tonals, they sound a bit like extremely lowfi piano but i personally they sound a bit more like a dot effect guitar.

I personally like the jazzy organ in this piece. :)

And yea its creepy, afterall its based on a undead' hermitage. ;)

Very nice

This song is very nice, I like the composition very much.
It starts off really quite, but gets a bit louder during the intro until it reaches a level where it is just loud enough so I can hear everything, but it isn't too loud, so I have to be quiet to listen to this piece. Already the sounds my keyboard makes when I type are too loud and they distract me from the song. And that's what I like about it: I have to keep quiet to listen to it, it "forces" me to sit back and do nothing while it plays.

Great work!

Jabicho responds:

Thanks for listening! It's cool to know the volume plays an important part for the piece, thanks again!

Good

I'm not too happy with the transition at the 5 minute mark, because the song that follows after seems to be so completely different from the first one. Both tracks are awesome and they do work together quite well, but the transition is still kind of strange.

Anyway, I like the second part better, it creates a very darkish atmosphere and I think the song just works better overall.

The first song is a very happy one that could work well in clubs, but I don't like the tremolo like effect you have on some of the beats.

Overall, it's an interesting experiment that works out quite well, even though the songs don't seem to have too much in common.
