This song offers a very nice rhythm and an interesting beat. You should change the drum sounds though. They don't seem to fit into the song, plus they sound a great deal too much like samples (which they probably are, heh).

I like that the song is so diversified, this keeps the listener interested from the start to the end.

This sounds much more like that epic fight scene than the previous song, too bad it's so short. For an epic fight it needs to be a bit longer and offer more variations, I think.

At least it seems to loop very well, which is good for a fighting game.

I listened to this before reading the author comments and I thought that this would fit good in a fighting game. I see that you where indeed aming for this, so you've done a good job! ;)

I myself don't see the "epic proportions", but I definatly see a fight. For an "epic fight" is just something missing, like a bombastic melody that slowly develops during the song.
But maybe it's because of that strange instrument that plays part of the main melody (can't name it, so I don't know if you get what I'm reffering to... :( ). It sounds a bit strange and quite unfitting to the rest of the song.

RE2 has the greatest soundtrack of all time (well, not really. But it comes close :D ). I like the way you played the melody, but it sometimes sounds as if it would wow and flutter. Maybe it's because of that little phaser effect you used for the background melody.

Also, at the end of the track there is a noticable static sound which ruins the loop. :(

I like the different beats you used in here. They make the song really varied and interesting to listen to.

The main problem here is that it seems to me as the song doesn't have any "direction" (so to speak). At first it sounds like a normal techno song, later on it sounds as if it was a game soundtrack, even later it sound different again. I guess it's because it's still in a demo stage. So, try to give the song a kind of direction (I would try to push more towards "game soundtrack" here ;) ).

Well, I got the direction moving as how I wanted it, starting off a bit dancey-trancey then into the more fast-paced action bit, and so forth. Don't think the styles will change, I just need an ending :)

thanks for the review :)

The track is very nice. The piano creates a very good sound, even though the echo effect doesn't fit in all parts. Some other effects (or some part with no effects) sure would have been nice here.

Other than that, I don't think that it needs more instruments. It's fine as it is now, you just need some more effects. ;)

Also, at 1:01 there's a unclean sound which sounds very annoying... you should try to edit that out.

S3C responds:

not really an echo, its just a reverb FX. That's the only effect I used besides compression (which obviously didnt do anything) and I used it throughout the entire song, so I don't know what parts your refering too...also, don't know what other FX I could incorporate in here, maybe a slight delay. and definetly some EQing.

i'll edit out that sound for future listeners ;)

thanks for the review

Nice and relaxing track. I like the humming sounds in the backgound.
I also like the plucked string instrument that plays the simple but very effective melody.

The "flow" of the track is great. Everything seems to flow away, just like the stream you described in the author comments. Great work!

Sounds a bit too generic for me (techno just isn't my kind of music ;) ), but this here has a really good sound and some interesting parts. I also like how you added various effects and beats to it. This way the song gets way more interesting than 99% of the techno songs that are played in the radio.

One thing though, the quieter parts don't really fit in there. I like that you tried to experiment with the dynamics a bit, but it just doesn't sound right in this case.

A lovely tune. It starts off very slow and relaxing (just like an Oasis should be), but after those drums started at 1:27 the song lost very much of it's potential. The beat is too hard for the quiet start. It may have been better to start with some soft drums and then slowly increase the "hardness" of it during the song.

However, I like that you put in many different parts. This makes the song very diversified and very interesting to listen to.
