I like what you did there. So, boredom can be helpful to be creative, I guess. ^^

It sounds a bit rough here and there, but I guess you didn't put that much effort into the mixing (at least that's my impression when reading your description).
Some of the instruments are a bit too loud (like the drums), so they are overpowering the main melody.

This is a very nice remix. I listened to the original again to see/hear the differences between the tracks and I am amazed what you did here.

You managed to keep the original song intact while adding a lot of your own ideas to it.

The pause in the middle isn't really necessary, I think. You could have worked with a fade out/fade in here, or you could have just added the second part seamlessly to the first part.
Also, the beginning of the second part sounds pretty weird, as if the original file is corrupted at that place...

A very quiet and pretty nice song. I like the almost dark atmosphere that this song creates.

The main melody is very catchy and it fits perfectly together with the chorus that can be heard in the background. It sounds almost heroic (and dark at the same time ;) ).
I like the image Coop had in mind, with a big sailing boat. I imagined the same when that chorus set in.

I'm also looking forward to review your 100th submission! ;)

Hey, thanks man! I get a huge buzz from making songs like this. I don't have the best equipment to work with to create an organic orchestra, but I like to think that I can manipulate what I have got to create something interesting.

The beat is very nice and the main melody is very catchy.

I like the weather effects you added to the track very much. It creates a great atmosphere. The rolling thunder, the rain... and a quite happy melody to it.

Here's what comes to my mind when I listen to this song: I see myself sitting at my window, watching a thunderstorm outside. The rain washes away the heat that many people suffered under during the week.
A puff of cool wind blows into the room through the opened windows...

Nice song! :)

haha cool, its awesome that it creates that image for you. Thanks a bunch for the review!

The mixing of this track is done very great. Sounds very professional.

It sounds very repititve, as the beats don't change that much during the song. But I think this fact qualifies this track to be played in big clubs. It's no use to play highly complex songs in a club when all the people want to do is to dance. And I think your song is perfect for that. It creates a very happy atmosphere and I found myself tapping to the beat while listening to the song.

Good work! :)

The track sounds quite good, but it's missing a part that really stands out here.

The parts you have here fit very well together and it's nice listening to this song. But I wish something more would happen here. A brigther main melody would be good. The whole track seems to be quite "dark" and deep, so a slightly higher main melody would sound quite well, I think.

Also, the ending is so abrupt, so it might be nice to loop this song, as Coop already suggested in his review.

Hey thanks for the review! I know what you're saying, and yeah, a main melody would be nice. Thanks for the review!

It's a nice dance track with a good rhythm to it. I like how you add more and more parts as the song plays. That way you keep the listener interested and you also keep the song from getting too repititive as there is something new to listen to every few beats.

You also managed to mix the song pretty well. Even with so many different melodies and parts playing at the same time everything can be clearly heard and no part is overpowered.

I like that tune that starts at 0:41. It sounds pretty funny. Too bad you changed that part slightly around 0:55. Also, it always sounds a bit off beat throughout the song... at least to me.

It's an interesting track, but for me the experiment doesn't work out quite right.

It sounds as if you just put in all kind of intros of other songs into this track, and sometimes you let two different songs play at the same time, which sounds pretty messy.

Some of the parts are very worth listening to (like the part that starts at 1:24, but the drums seem to be off beat there), but you shouldn't throw them together with so many different parts, instead you should expand them and work them out to a whole single song. Would be much better, imo.

ok.

The intro sounds pretty strange and I think you should shorten it a bit or change the effect of the guitar.

Later on, with the drums added the effect of the guitar is very fitting, but it just doesn't work for me in that long intro.

I like how you put in so many different parts and still managed to fit them all together in one song.

First of all: The delay has to stay in there. It just wouldn't have such a great sound and wouldn't create such a good atmosphere without it.

Ok, that being said, you should get rid of the little pauses you make here and there in the song, or at least cut down on the lenght of the pauses.

You also should add some chorus, or some strings in here. Maybe a trumpet could work, too, if it is played very softly.

TheBellmaker responds:

I'll get rid of the pauses. fill them in with something interesting. I have a really low quality string sample that sounds like a really good chorus when its played really low. As for a trumpet.... I really dunno.
