It was very confusing when I tried playing this without looking at the tutorial here. I didn't know what the hell was going on. So, I had a look at the tutorial and things became clear. An interactive tutorial would've been nice or maybe some kind of a "video tutorial" where you show some scenes of the gameplay and explain what is going on.

Anyway, after I got the hang of this game it became very interesting. I like that you have to think ahead to develope a strategy and to maximize your points. I think economists will LOVE this game since it visualizes "consumer choice" quite nicely, heh. "If I 'consume' this card right now, I get 9 points. But if I wait one round and 'consume' the other card which gives me 1 point, I can get 18 points on the next round, since there's a multiplier coming up!"

Very nice. ;)

Thanks, the strategy was exactly what I was trying to incorporate ;)

The "no mouse cursor visible" thing seems to be the new way mouse maze games work. I've seen a lot of them lately, so this feature becomes old slowly but surely.

Sure, the challenge IS greater this way (I even died on the first level), but it becomes more like an endurance test than anything else.

However, I liked the "gifts" a lot, they added something new to this game. I also liked the little help you can get by pressing the 'H' button.

The only problem is, that the "right click" cheat still works. You might want to look into that, to disable it. The game becomes way too easy with that cheat.

This seems to be the new hype in mouse maze games: Hide the mouse cursor. The good thing about this is, that the game becomes really challenging and hard. If a player manages to beat a level, he/she can feel proud to have achieved something.

I didn't like the music here. It's a tad bit too loud and I just don't like the genre. But worst of all, I think it's distracting from the game. A mute button would be a very nice thing to have.

The graphical presentation is a bit lacking. Everything looks very... plain and almost unfinished. But I like the variation of the levels. The pacman level was pretty nice, even though I had to use the cheat here.

The minecraft level crashed my browser. I don't know if it was the level itself or if me using the cheat button excessively had something to do with it.

The basiscs are all there. The controls work fine, the graphics are all right and the gameplay is good enough to waste a few minutes with it.

Now you should try to improve on what you already have achieved. Some additional sounds would be very nice. Some sort of "hit" sound, so we know that we hit an enemy for example. A short story line would improve this game as well. Some short scenes between the levels/waves for example. A description of the enemies... all minor things, but overall, they would vastly improve your game.

Last but not least, the screen is a little bit too small for my liking. Kirby and the enemies are nothing but small dots.

Thanks for reviewing! Yes, sounds shouldve been added, ive been told by several others, and it would definitely improve the game, but thanks though.
I wasnt really going for much of a story line other than just "defeat the enemies to get ahead" since its just a run-and-gun game, and i didnt think too many games in this genre had such storylines. That also goes along with adding in short scenes between the levels, that just wouldve made it something a little different than what i was going for. Not to say its not a good idea, but just not something for this particular project. Perhaps for something in the future though.
I do kinda agree with the enemies being a little small, but i couldnt really help that at the time.

Good game

A very simple idea, but very well excecuted. It's a very addictive game and I was surprised that this game even has various difficulty levels. Not only are there more dots on the screen on a higher difficutly, but those dots are also smaller, making it harder to hit them (on Insane I could only hit a few, because my mouse didn't point on the exact spot).

I also like how the music gets faster and faster, the less time you have left. It really makes you nervous if the music gets faster, so it becomes harder to hit the circles.

The addition of the high score board is pretty nice as well, but I guess those users on top have cheated their way there. There's just no way anyone could hit 500 circles in this time limit...

Anway, this is a really nice game!

Good collab

There are some pretty nice games in this collab. Brick Duel for example, which I already played in it's own submission. Whiteboad Avoider is pretty interesting as well. I also like the presentation of this collab, even though it would have been even nicer if all games would be displayed on a single page, with a short description of the game (a single page might not be enough in this case, but more than one game on a page would still be more convenient).

So, the idea of this collab is pretty nice. You can have fun with those minigames for a few hours and if you grow tired of one game, there are still other games to try out here.

However, there are a few bugs, or at least I found one bug. At some point during trying the games out, the mute button stopped to work. Sadly I cannot say exactly when it stopped working, or if I did anything to provoke such a behaviour, all I know is that the mute button stopped working, in game and even in the menu. However, when I started another game I hadn't played before, the mute button started to work again. So maybe it was just a one time thing that others might not even experience.

Overall, a nice collab, well excecuted and with some pretty good games. Nice work!

Good game design

This is a pretty good game. It's challenging and I haven't been able to beat it just yet. I like the design here a lot. It is possible to play the game alone, but it's also possible to have two players, each controlling one character.

I also like how there are traps that hurt the one character, but not the other. So, to win both characters HAVE to work together.

The controls are simple enough. Just moving left or right or jumping, so only three buttons needed (actually, it's 6 buttons, because there are two characters). So, there's no need to practice how to move the characters around.

The music got annoying pretty fast, as it was only a short loop, playing over and over again, but at least there was an option to turn the music off. This is always a big plus.

Overall, the levels are pretty challenging and well designed (as far as I can tell, I didn't get very far yet ;) ).

Nice clock day submission

Hey, I played that game on clock day and I thought it was a pretty nice submission. Of course, the graphics are very basic here, but I like the idea of riding the B's with a Strawberry Clock. After all, this is what Clock Day is all about, right? Also, this game stands out from the overly spammy clock day submissions, this is a huge plus. After all, I remembered this submission. Can't say I remember too much else from Clock Day.

The music is pretty good, as it creates a very happy mood and it kept me playing this game a lot longer that I would've played it without it.

The controls work pretty good, so that's always a plus.

The game becomes very challenging later on and I haven't been able to beat the third level yet. Maybe I will come back and try to beat this game!

Annoying music

Well, the idea to hide the cursor is pretty cool. Without the cheat the game would become very hard (almost impossible to beat).

However, the music is very annoying. It's only a short loop that is played over and over again. A mute button would be really nice.

The graphics are okay. I mean, it's only a "mouse maze" game, you can't expect it to have top notch graphics. At least all obstacles are clearly to identify, so that's helping a lot already.

As I've said, I liked the idea of hiding the cursor. It's pretty nice to see a new approach at an old game. In the first levels it was relatively easy to figure out where my cursor is, later on the paths became so narrow that it was almost impossible to beat the game without cheating.

Needs work

The title screen with the bouncing snowflakes was awesome, I really liked that addition.

The explanation of how the game works is well written and easy to understand. I also like the controls you chose. "WASD" is a pretty common layout and aiming and shooting with the mouse is also a good choice.

The game itself was a bit disappointing. I was hoping I could run through various maps shooting different enemys, not just rockets and candy bars in a single room.

However, the game itself runs very fluently and the homing effect of the candy bars and rockets makes this game very hard, so it's not a game where you can reach high scores by simply playing it once or twice.

I really wish you could add more to the game, though. Various levels, different enemies, maybe even powerups. With this game you showed that you are able to create short games with appealing graphics. So you should try to take it to the next level (no pun intended ;) ) and create longer games.

Thanks for the complements. That means alot. Most of my response to SCTE3's review applies to your as well, so I don't think I'm gonna write it again. But please do refer to that.

Anyways, I'm working on a longer, more complete version of this with power ups and everything, so you'll see how I do when I submit the full version and request reviews. ;)
