Hmmm

"The head- feet- and handless pixel" would have been too long as a title, I guess.

I really don't know what I should think of this piece. I kind of got what I expected, some headless guy in 8-bit graphics. But maybe you should've put him in a nicer enviroment. The green background doesn't look too good, in my opinion.

Felt it would be too naked with just the plain white bg.

Great

I like how you always seem to include an apple in your drawings, could be a trademark, just like DalÃ- and his clocks he always drew.

I like Domo's idea with the sequel to the coconut-picture. Could also be a prequel. The two are stranded somewhere (or maybe she is alone in that place and she meets the male sometimes lates).

But as we can see she throws away the book here, it has to be some sort of prequel, as we can see the same book in the coconut shell in the other picture.

Anyway, sequel or not, I like this piece and I also like it's related in some way to the other picture. We can see some elements in both pictures and the female character seems to be the same as well.

There's really nothing more I can say about this picture other than: I really like it!

THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!
Though it's not a sequel, it's still related to the coconut picture, but also is related to the Long Legs girl picture, and not just because of the apples.

There's really nothing more I can say about this review other than: THANKS A LOT!!!!
(Also, I saw you added some of my pictures to your favorites, that really means a lot!!!)

Great

A very nice picture. I like how you added so much stuff to it that only becomes really clear when you take a second look at it, like Wilson floating by, or the shark from Jaws.

I also like how you created the sky with all those geometrical shapes. It makes the picture look very surreal, just as the giant coconut shell looks very surreal.
But at the same time, the castaways in this shell look very real and the way the male castaway just hangs there gives the image a very hopeless touch.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH MAN!!!!
Yeah, that guy is just pissed off of all that lost in sea thing.

Good

This is a very good portrait of John Lennon. Did you draw this "out of your mind" or did you look at photographs while you where drawing?

I like the facial expression. It seems to say everything but nothing at the same time... well, that didn't make much sense now, did it? I will try to explain: On the one hand it seems as if Lennon concentrates on something, maybe playing the piano, or as if he thinks about something.
But on the other hand it also seems as if the expression says: "I really don't care, go away."

The eyebrows could have used some more work, though. While his hair looks pretty good the eyebrows look too much like a simple stroke of the brush, instead of "real" eyebrows.

Fat guy is fat

Overall quality of this picture looks a bit bad, as if the quality of the image was reduced due to scanning or converting. But when I viewed it in full size I couldn't find anything that would indicate why the image looks so "blurry" to me... maybe I just need some glasses? -.-

Aynway, the facial expression of the guy looks pretty good. It is as if he was acting in a commercial and he holds the chocolate up to the camera and says something like "Buy this!".
I think his stomach could look a bit fatter. Right now it only seems as if his shirt is a bit too small.

I also like how the sun puffes out its cheeks, as if to mock the fat guy. Nice detail there.

I saw something blurry too, I think I might have accidentally made the colors in someway to make it seem blurry...I dunno, also the sun was just...well I dunno you decide

Nice drawing

I like the setup of the picture. Some sort of teacher that thinks he knows it all, but in reality doesn't know a thing.

I also like the 1+1=5 on the blackboard, even though the picture would've had a better touch if you wrote 2+2=5 instead (if you don't know what that means, you can look it up on Wikipedia ^^).

Anyway, again you are colouring over the lines (yeah, there's a small debate in the RRC and I know you've read it since you replied to it, I'm still mentioning it in the review), which doesn't look too good in my opinion.
Maybe it is your style and you will continue to use it regardless what I say. But I still don't like it too much. :P

yeah I do read the review request club (It's fun :D lol) and I will color outside the lines again...sorry and I looked that up on wikipedia and it's interesting :)

Running around ain't easy with those legs

Must be hard to run around on those legs. And the feet seem to be pretty small, I wonder how she manages to keep her balance.

Anyway, this piece looks really good. The style seems to be very comical, but that doesn't mean it's bad in any way.
On the contrary, everything looks very good here. The grass, the part of the trunk we can see, the treetop... everything looks pretty good and you just found the right colours for those as well, as well as the right shadings. No colours stand out too much, everything fits together very well here.

The character looks good as well. I like the look on her face when she drops the apple.
I also like the idea of her making the socks herself. It really shows in the picture, since she wears two different socks and they both have some stitch marks on them.

Good work!

THANKS A LOT FOR YOUR REVIEW and I'm glad you like this picture so much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nice, but too sloppy

It's a very "rough" picture just like your "Mr. Monocle" one. This time the colouring is a lot better, but the sketchy feeling is still there. It's okay to draw certain objects a bit sloppy, but I think the wobbly line in the background for the ground/wall doesn't really work. It makes the whole image seem very sloppy and bad.

Also the whole image appears to be in a rather low quality, especially the character in the center of the picture. Could this be because you converted the image to a different format or something?

Anyway, the picture does have potential, I like the character a lot (he looks so grumpy, yet he has a teddy in his arms... very nice detail). But as I've pointed out, there are some major flaws so that I can't give the picture a higher rating.

Good drawing

A good drawing. I think the propotions of the body and the extremities. The arms may be a bit too long, but it's hardly noticeable.

Maybe you could've made a different background. The current background creates a very dark and unfriendly atmosphere and it also makes the woman look like a corpse. I don't think that was your intention.

Maybe some leaves or grass would look better and more friendly here.

Merol responds:

Hmm, maybe the arms are a bit too long, just a little bit.
And I think she may look like a corpse because she is colourless.
THAANKK YOOOU!!!!!!!!!!

Hmm

It looks really sketchy, but it also has something to it that I like.

I like the character you drew here, he looks kind of funny. But the rest of the picture just looks bad. The colouring looks awful, even though you may have done that on purpose. I just don't like how the colours are constantly over the outlines, which looks quite crappy.

Also the colours don't always have the same opacity on one object. Look at the ground for example. To the right of the character there are some very light spots, while to the left the colours are way darker.

Overall the negative aspects outweigh the positive aspects here, so I don't like the picture too much.
