This picture looks a bit better than the last one I reviewed (the one with the explosion) but it's still far from being "art portal material".

This time we have two characters, which makes the picture look a bit better, even though one of the characters is already dead.

I like the smoke coming up from the gun, as it indicates that the bald one just fired his shot. This brings a bit "movement" or "momentum" into the picture. I have the feeling "Oh gosh, he just shot that person!" when looking at this picture.

The background sure does need some more work. Why is it all purple? That doesn't really fit to the scene we can see on the image.
Also, there again are some artefacts of the JPG compression visible in the picture.

Again, its supposed to be random, with dumb backgrounds and stuff. But now i've started to submit art with more detailed backgrounds. And again, It doesn't need to be art portal material. Thanks for reviewing. :)

[Ross Fenton and the Explosion]

For a quick doodle this would be ok, but I guess it's nothing that would get you scouted for the art portal. The explosion doesn't look too good, in my opinion. There should be more smoke coming up.

The character on the left hand side looks OK, but he could use some more details as well. His clothing looks awfully bland. Also, there are some JPG artefacts on his red clothing, but maybe this happened during the uploading process.

Good work

A very good picture. I like the comical style here a lot, especially because the whole picture has this comical style. So everything blends in very well.

I also like the idea of the three newgrounds characters (and a fourth unknown one for the drums) playing together in a band. Going along with this is the setlist in the comments. Really good work here.

As for the characters: Pico reminds me a bit of Ziggy Stardust, Nene... well, I don't know. At first I was thinking of Aretha Franklin, but she looks different. Janis Joplin also looks different, but the clothes fit. Darnell, I really have no idea. And the drummer looks like one of the characters from the Gorillaz, while his drum kit looks like the one the Beatles used.

Anyway, very nice picture!

Nice try

The wall in the background looks very good and realistic. The "potatoe" guy builds some contrast to that wall as he doesn't have too many details in his face. Also the face looks too bright because of the light source. I guess it's supposed to be a flash light shining in his face, which fits well into the context of a "failed gangster", but for the sake of the picture I think it would be better if the light wasn't so bright.

Nice background

I really like the background here, it adds a whole new level to the picture. Also the source of light coming from the front is a good choice because now we can start imagine why both fruits are so scared. Maybe they are watching a horror movie and are scared because of what's happening on screen? Or they surprised some burglar that is shining with his flash light.

Anyway, this picture is really nice.

Grey

Well, the 3D looks quite good here, but as others have stated, everything looks so "plastic like". Maybe it's just because nearly everything is so grey in this picture; the background, the suit he's wearing, the hair... only different colour we can see are his shoes, his tie and his skin. Colour up your life, man! ;)

Also as others have stated already, the lightning is really off. It DOES look like that guy has wet himself. Oh well, maybe he saw something that really scared him so it was just some kind of... natural reaction.

The trouses do look a bit strange though. What's with the trouser legs? Are they rolled up, or something? And why is the shoe on the left white on top (or is that a sock?) while the shoe on the left is black on top (or isn't that a shoe, but a boot? If so, why doesn't he wear a boot on the other foot?).

Last thing I can complain about is that the character is off center so much. His right hand reaches out of the canvas, which does look a bit strange.

Good pic

The idea to add faces to vegetables is not new, but I still like your take on it. I especially like the background you added to this picture. At first I was thinking that we can see a washing machine in the background but you said it's from inside your fridge, which is an even better idea.

I also like the details you added to the single vegetables. It's not that easy to spot in the small version, but when the picture is viewed in full size all the details are visible.

Good character

I like the colouring/shading on the character. It adds a lot to the picture and it looks pretty good this way. Much better as if you had left out the shading here.

The walking cycle is done pretty good as well. Maybe the character swings his arms around too much, but I guess the Business man has his reason to walk like this.

I think the face needs some more work, especially the chin area. It doesn't look too clean worked out and it takes away a bit from the quality of the character.

Different from your other art

Well, this looks very different from your other art you have uploaded so far.

It works pretty good as a cover. On the one hand we have very bright pink colours that look very "girly" and on the other hand the character on the cover looks quite "weird", which builds a very good contrast to the pink colouring.

[A Duck!]

Oh, it's her again

Oh yeah, I think I've seen her in some other pictures as well. But why does she always looks so angry? That duck is (kinda) cute, so she could at least try and smile a bit. :P

Just like SeeD I was a bit confused about the mountains. They look like they are located right next to that girl, which would mean those "mountains" are small rocks, but then the trees are pretty small as well. Or the girl is a huge giant, but that would mean the duck can't be that small either...
Only possible solution is: The mountains are pretty far away. I don't know if that is possible, but you should try to give this image more "depth", so we would instantly know the mountains are far away.

But that's about the only negative thing I could find in this picture.
The colours are a bit unusual, but that's "artistic freedom", I guess. ^^

She's not angry, she's trying to grab the duck. It's more like a concentrated face!

Yeah, those are rocks and are next to her. The trees are normal, they seem to be small but they are actually far away! I failed at the perspective again...

I think I should have picked another color for the sky, and the duck looks a bit green, like if it was fluorescent or something like that.
