Sounds a bit like a trash can

The drums sound a bit like a trash can... that was the first thing that came to my mind when I listened to the song the first time.

However, I think this also creates a special kind of atmosphere (and of course it fits very well to the title of the song ;) ). I have a picture of some kind of creepy carnival in my mind when listening to this.

Good

I like the into. The build up for the song is done pretty nicely. I also like how the song picks up at 0:43.

The song stays pretty calm the whole time, and I like that. Even when the background beat sets in at 1:04 the song doesn't lose it's calm and quite relaxing atmosphere.

I think the outro could use some work though. It basically starts at 2:44 already and the whole time the same beat is playing. By the time it stops it already got pretty annoying.

Annyoing intro, much better afterwards

The intro is quite annoying as we only have that one beat to listen to and it hurts the ears quite soon.

Luckily the song picks up after that with some more instruments and melodies. While the "intro beat" is still present here it doesn't hurt the ears as much as it is accompanied by some other very nice melodies.
But still I think you should cut back on the use of the intro beat a bit, in the intro as well as later in the song.

Good song

This song offers a great, catchy melody. I was humming it along already at the very first playthrough! :)

The great main melody is backed by some good background beats and backgroundmelodies.
Too bad that the song is so short, though. I really would like to listen to this a bit longer. But on the other hand you prevent the song from getting repititve by keeping it so short.

The ending with the rising volume was a bit weird, but I think it fits pretty good there.

Wow, a 10! :-)
Thanks!

Medieval battles

The intro creates a very good atmosphere. It instantly makes me think of some great medieval battles between hughe armies (Braveheart style ^^).

The song developes this atmosphere even further the longer it plays.

However, I think the song should be a bit more fast pace to create a even better "battle like feeling". Right now it feels more like as if the two armies are facing each other, waiting for their commanders to give the order to attack the enemy.

Good

The intro sounds a bit muffled at first, but it gets better after a few seconds.

I like that you put in various parts with various melodies. This keeps the song from getting too repititive.

Sometimes all that can be heard is the background beat. I guess it should function as some kind of connection between the parts, but for me it doesn't quite work out. Maybe if you changed the "connection beat" a bit it would work better. Maybe all that is missing is just a hi-hat there.

Thanks for the good review! Glad everyone is liking the non-Repetitiveness of it.

Nice tune

Well, the high pitched melody sounds really nice and delightful, but at the same time it also sounds a bit sad.

It may be used in a scene where one of the characters leaves the group. It indicates that the other characters are sad, but at the same time they think: "We'll have to carry on!"

Good, but repititve

This is a good tune and it indeed makes me think of a cave. Well, indeed a cave in a video game. I like the contrast between the deep background beat and the higher pitched melody that can be heard from time to time.

However, this can't be used for too long in a game/flash as it is highly repititve.

Great

This is a great dungeon theme. Sounds creepy and sinister, just like dungeon music should sound like in my opinion. It foreshadows that something evil might happen, but we just don't know when it's going to happen.
This uncertainty makes for some great atmosphere.

I never listened to the original (I'm just not a fan of Zelda games), but your version of the song sure sounds great. :)
Good work!

Good

A very good mix of your usual playing and some heavy industrial drums. Still I'd say this is more "Heavy Metal" than "Industrial". To be more industrial it needs more heavy drums and a heavier beat overall. Plus it has to sound more sinister. At least in my opinion.

But that doesn't mean I dislike this song. I think the experiment worked out very well! :)

Yeah, it was hard to make up my mind about the genre of this song ... Maybe I did the wrong choice :P. I still can change the genre, so I will : ). Thanks for your reviews bro, it's awesome to hear your opinion ;).
