I think you've done a great job here. The single instruments are going quite well together and you created a very nice and catchy tune here.
Also, this song is very diversified. At one point it reminds me of Dire Straits ("Money for nothing", as Coop has already said), and then it reminds me of the early 80's pop (which is a good AND a bad thing, both at the same time ^^).

Anyway, I like this song and I can imagine listening to that while playing some sort of racing game.

Mataro responds:

I'm still not sure how this sounds much like Dire Straits.. I mean.. Maybe very mildly.. But that's a stretch xD

Oh well, to each their own, right? I'm glad to hear you liked it. I can't say I've listened to much pop, so I wouldn't really know about the 80's bit >.>

As for fitting a racing game..? Yeah, I could see that. Though I've been told people think of a fighting game, primarily. Could go either way I guess.. Thanks for coming by, and I'm sorry it took so long for me to reply!

Hey, this reminded me a bit of "(Anesthesia) Pulling Teeth" by Metallica.
The sound quality is quite similar to this recording, and even the distortion sounds a bit like the aforementioned song ^^.
I think you played a great track here, even though I think that it would sound better if you'd turn the distortion down a bit. Right now it sounds pretty "squishy" (don't know if this is the right expression. What I mean is: it doesn't sound very clear).

mhb responds:

i understand what you're sayin' with the distortion bein' way too much.

isn't anesthesia a bass solo though? i guess it doesn't make a diference when you have a staticy recording huh? but, slayer is proof that you can have the shittiest quality of recording and still sell albums.

but yeah the gain was by far way too amped for this.

It's a good riff (and it sure IS heavy), but there's something missing... It just sounds a bit too generic for me. But I like the effects you used towards the end. It adds a lot of diversity, even though this one is so short.

DarKsidE555 responds:

I know what you mean...ah well, can't always be "mindblowing" can it? ;P

Anyways, thanks for checking man!

Very powerful riff. I really like it, although it nearly blew my boxes away... :P

Especially the lead guitar is played very good and it is kept somewhat in the background in a nice and fitting way. Good job!

Bad-Man-Incorporated responds:

Thanks man, sorry about the overpowering bass. I can't even listen to this on my 5.1 . Old equipment here and not experienced at eqing and all that jazz back then. haha. Anyways, of older songs, its one of my favorites. Glad you like it, Thanks for another review!

This is good proof that the best metal is produced is Scandinavia (and Germany of course :P ). Great track!

Metalcan responds:

Hehe, at least when it comes to black metal. :) Thank you!

Indeed, very mellow, calm and sad. Good job. It's played very accurate and very soulful. I like that.

The track is good. The intro somehow reminded me of the "Beverly Hills Cop"-Theme ^^.
The song has a good diversity and it never gets boring. The instruments are played quite well. Only bad point about this song is, that the sound somehow seems overloaded/overamplyfied.

superchao responds:

Thank you so much for your input. Seriously, I really appreciate it. :)
Yeah, the sound's like that because I don't really have much skill in mixing, lol. I think this is where my hearing loss hinders me, because I want to get it to the point where I can hear every track in the song, but it gets frustratingly difficult to do so without the sound getting so loud and clipping all over the place. ^^' ....That, and the fact that I just plain suck at mixing. XD
Again, thank you for your review, I really appreciate it. :)

The music sounds very nice, I like the rhythm of that.
Drums and guitars are both played pretty good. Only weak point in this song are the vocals. They are too much in the foreground and thus don't sound that good.
Also, a distortion for the vocals isn't that a good idea.

TheRealSam responds:

Yeah I know for the vocals. But it's an old song I made when I was begining to record my own creations so the quality isn't that great (especialy for the vocals)!
Anyway, thanks a lot man! :)

The music itself is very good. Drums and guitars go well together and that whole thing sounds pretty good (and very catchy, too). The song would have been much better with some vocals, though.
So, hopefully some talented singer will add some vocals to this some day ^^.

TheRealSam responds:

I hope too man! :)
Thanks for the review!

Heh, this is funny, but the the pitch is too high for me. I had to turn the speakers down or else my ears would have fallen off ^^.
Anyways, it's a nice tune.

Thattixx responds:

The pitch seems to be a commonly noticed flaw in this song now. I'll be sure to fix that in the next guitar song i make (which should be done within a few weeks). Thanks for your constructive criticism, and I'm glad you liked the tune : )
