It's a very nice tune and you again used nice instruments for it.
The song may be a bit repititive, but that's the problem with most game tunes ^^.

I think you've done a good job here.

lol, I loved kirby 64, and i used to hum this all the time, then when i got a mac, i played it!! :D

Sounds good. Nice melody and interesting instruments used here. Too bad I never played AOE ^^.

However, the ending is a bit aprupt and it doesn't loop good, either. You should try to improve that a bit.

ending, doesn't fit? crud.. hmm ill see what i can do.

I'm not that much into techno, but I think this one is quite good. You had a good rhythm in there and made use of different effects, thus adding a lot of diversity to the song.

Sometimes it seems as if some of the effects are pretty much out of beat, but somehow this makes the song interesting to listen to. It's always nice to see musicians experimenting a bit ;) .

experimentation is what makes music so cool!

It's a very relaxing song. It doesn't happen much in there but somehow I really like it. It's a good song to calm down after a hard day.

The melody is quite catchy and I like the echoing effects you used in this song. It creates a very good (and relaxing ^^) atmosphere.

But somehow this also sounds very sad. After listening to this twice I can imagine hearing that in a flash where the hero or a close friend of said hero dies and the people around him are in great agony of the loss.

well of course, hence the name. :P
as i said earlier, i was stressed when I made this song.

Sounds great. The bass of this song is realy great, I like that :) .
You played the guitars again very accurate and I wish I could play only half that accurate at that speed... :( .

Though the sound quality is a bit low (only a bit) it adds a very good atmosphere. Sounds like I am standing at a bar and some band is playing this song.
But I think the mixing needs some work. One of the guitars can hardly be heard. But then again, it adds a lot to this "live atmosphere".

Thanks a lot, dude. I am practicing mish mashing two different rhythms or 1 rhythm and 1 lead. Trying to find adequate volumes and panning for them. So I'm glad you had some pointers on that. I've updated since, but am still not super happy with it. I'll probably tweak it more too.

Anyways, yeah..."live". Wouldn't that be great. Soon man...I'll FINALLY be playing live.

Thanks for your review, and as always support.\m/

Nice song!
It's played very accurate and the mixing of the instruments if very good, too.
I really like the melody of that song.

Also, the careful outfading at the end is done very nicely.

Hey,pal! Thanks for givin' me your great opinion ! i'm glad u liked it, haggard ! C ya

Whoa, very heavy riff here. Perfect for some games where metal (the material, not the genre :P ) crushes together, like Destruction Derby or some Mech games.

However, the quality of the sound is a bit low, sadly. But hopefully once this turns into a full song the quality will be better.

PS: Just saw that this is used in a defense game. Yep, that's a really fitting genre for this riff ;) .

Bad-Man-Incorporated responds:

I made some good copies of this loop under my ALT account. Black-Cloak-Of-Night. One has a "lead" the other is this, but WAY better quality.
Thanks for the review, and support man.\m/

Heh, I just love retro video game sounds. This tune really has a very happy theme and it somehow reminds me of winter... so, you've reached your goal :P .

I can really imagine listening to that while playing some games like "Winter Games" (C64/PC) or even some newer games. Hopefully a flash artist will grab this tune and add it to his game.

The main theme is really catchy and makes me feel happy (as I've already written). The bass line seems to be pretty simple, but it creates a good background for the song.

Cool, thanks for reviewing. I'd really like this used in a flash, that was my main reason for coming to newgrounds in the first place, so, that'd really make my day.
Cheers.

I like this remix. It's very diversyfied in my opinion. What I like the most about this one is, that it keeps itself in the background so well. It's just perfect for the use in videogames, as it doesn't distract the player from the actual game he/she's playing.

Nav responds:

Thanks for the review! Yeah, I like to hear this one the the background too :)

Man, you give me a hard time. When the song started I wanted to give a zero instantly, because it's just that kind of music that I just don't like :P .
But it would be unfair to give you a low rating just because I don't like it, since you asked the Review Request Club to review you songs. So, I will be fair and unbiased , don't worry ;)

So, to the song: As I said, I don't like that kind of songs, but technically you've done a great job here. The mixing is fine and the sound is very clean.
All instruments can be heard, which is always a good thing.

You also added a lot of diversity to your song, this will keep the listener interested and also makes sure that it never gets boring.
You used some interesting effects and some of the melodies in this song are quite catchy.

Sp1r1T responds:

Yey, thanks!
Oh yeah, dont 0 a song because you don't like it.
Only dicks do that.
