I like this one a lot. It's quite original, I like how you used that harmonica in the song, it adds a lot of varety to your song and makes it very easy to distinguish from other songs.
I also liked the more "heavy" parts of this. Good work!

I like the riffs, they are pretty catchy and the rhythm is good, too. But overall the sound quality is too thin. The drums are too quiet, so that one can hardly hear them - and unfortuneatly the sound of the guitar is very bland, too.
Also, the song gets quite boring towards the end, but that's the problem with nearly all instrumentals. There are very few instrumentals out there that keeps the listener interested the whole time.
As a final remark it can be said that you've done quite a good job here, but you have to improve your sound quality a whole bit.

So, now I've listened to both versions (with and without vocals) I have to say that I like this version better. The vocals sure add more diversity to the song, so that it doesn't get boring halfway through.
And I also have to say: You sound a bit like Hetfield in this song.

Bad-Man-Incorporated responds:

Thanks man. I kinda agree. The song is kinda boring without. ON the flip side, the recording of the instruments and vocals were with very old and not the greatest equipment. I would love for Pitchblak to revisit this with better drums, tone...and maybe some bass. I have learned MUCH since this song (also took some actual lessons). With regards to singing, mixing, compression, etc etc. I think this would seriously fucking rule, revisited. For sure.

The Hetfieldish vocals were me resorting to my Metallica Cover Band days...Sooooo many moons ago. Anyways Thanks for another wicked review and support!

Good guitars and nice drums, but it gets boring very fast. It just happens too little in the song, there's nearly no diversity. Vocals would help a lot here, I think.

pitchblak responds:

Yeah, thanx for the advice. It was my first attempt @ recording. Badman does have a version with vocals though. You should check it out Thanx 4 the review

You've done a good job here. The lead guitar is played very good. And I think the drums are played good as well.
I don't remember that song from "Nightmare Before Christmas" (although I've seen it some time ago...), but I think your cover is pretty accurate :) .

This song kicks ass! The riffs are great and well played. The drums are awesome, too, especialy in the "double base"-parts (yes, I am a fan of the double base! :P).
The structur of the song is good, too. Great song!

This song sure sounds nice, but there's not much happening there. The samples are bit too quiet and aren't easy to understand.
The guitars sound a bit thin in comparison to the very good sounding drums.

Overall the sound quality of this piece is nice and the instruments create an atmosphere of horror, so I think you've done your job quite well.

It's a nice song and the beginning reminds me a bit of some Type 'O' Negative-songs.
But as the guy below me said, the sound is a bit overdone. There's just too much of everything... well, actually just the guitar effect is too much, but that makes it sound as if the whole song is overburden with effects.

The vocals are good and they fit good in this song.

viviseration responds:

I actually used no effects at all, this was recorded with a cheap mic from an 8 inch BC Rich amp. I think theirs three layers at some points though

As some people said, the sound needs a bit work. Too bad you are limited with your equipment at the moment, I would like to hear that in better quality.
Anyways, you did a great job here, the guitars sound pretty nice and are played very well. The drum part is good, too. But the most important thing is: all the instruments you used fit well together.
And I think the ending of this one is all right. Fading out is (nearly) always a good way to end a song, and it's a good way here, too.

XxCowMeatxX responds:

Ty for your awesome review, and yes i am very limited when it comes to recording. believe it or not i just use a headset mic lol. i may get my friend to help me record this one for real. anyways thanks again.

Whoa, this shit is awesome! Very great sound quality!
The playing of the guitars is outstanding, very clear and very accurate. I wish I could play half as accurate as that :/ .
Oh, and the drums are cool, too!
Rock on! \m/
