This is a really good sprite movie. You make use of the sprites in a very good way. The animations look pretty good. Also, there's a lot going on most of the time. The backgrounds are pretty good, too. So, in the graphics section, you've done everything right in my opinion.

The voice acting is very good as well. All voices sound very realistic and the voice quality is top notch as well. No static sounds or any other noises that don't belong there.

However, I found the story to be very confusing. I could laugh a few times about the random things you threw in there every now and then, but on the other hand, those random things confused me even more...

Anyway, overall this is a very good submission!

What I liked about this flash:
This has a decent length. When I saw the file size and noticed that this is a sprite movie I expected the worst (too many flash authors have let me down already, heh). But this one actually has a lot going on.

I also liked the music you chose. It fits pretty good most of the time. There was only one loop that didn't work out too well. I think it was when the Master and Shi had a small conversation. There was a noticeable gap on the loop. The voices are a very good addition as well.

Next thing I liked was the humor. There are a lot of funny scenes in this flash, for example when Luigi begins to cry.

What I didn't like:
Sometimes the text boxes where too small for the text. You should either try to write less or make the text box a bit bigger if you have a lot to say.

Also, sometimes there where some grammar errors. Most noticeable the "your / you're"-mistake. Proof read your texts and keep an eye open for grammar errors as well.

Overall:
This was the first episode I watched, so naturally the story doesn't make too much sense to me. I still enjoyed this flash, as there are some funny scenes and the flow of the story is pretty good, too.

I didn't like it too much, but this is due to the fact that I just don't enjoy collabs or demo reels too much. Just a matter of personal preferences.

Some of the stuff we could see here looks pretty good, others where mediocre. The main problem for me was, that everything seemed to be really cluttered. Sometimes the scenes where interrupted but different scenes, only to continue some time later on.
Also, some of the pictures (for example, the pink panther walk cycle) where too dark, so it was hard to see the cycle.

At other times, the image seemed to be strangely unsteady (for example the guy running through the city, followed by some fat and huge character).

Anyway, the only way to get better at flash is to create more stuff and submit more stuff. You have proven that you can draw and that you have your own style, now you only have to get better with the tools you are using. ^^

Thanks, and don't you worry I'll be creating more animations in the future.
Next Time I'll try keep it clean.
Yeah the problem with the paper drawn animations was that the cameras exposure was really poor, and I had already had them compiled.
Thanks again, I appreciate the time it took for you to write this

Wow, all this "Kony 2012" stuff went totally past me, so I just had to do some research to get what this video is all about.

I think it's quite funny to some extend. The whole world is shocked by Kony 2012, but all Joseph does is watching Jason breaking down in San Diego.

Animation wise, this video is all right. Not too much happening, but the movements look fluent. The graphics could be a bit better. They are pretty rough and not too clean looking, but on the other hand, they are far away from being considered "bad" as well.

What really bothers me about this video is, that I still don't really get it, even though I did some research about Kony and Russell, heh.

A nice backstory of how Brutus became what he is now. The narration of the backstory went on quickly, which is a huge plus. Not much need of a drawn out and boring sequence, so I think your pace was pretty good here.

I also liked how you played around with the on screen text. The B in the typical red font of the infamous flash, Strawberry Clock making a short appearence and stealing the B... that was a really nice touch.

Another short episode. Brutus plans to get rid of Drake once and for all, just like every good (or is it "bad" in this case?) villain would do.

I noticed that Darrell looks awfully like Brutus. So I guess you have to work on your character design a bit more, so the characters can be distinguished more easily from each other.

Now let's just hope that Drake can find the missing citizens in Trellutor!

Yep, character designs are a new priority for me! Thanks for your review :)

I've been away for a while, so that's why I haven't reviewed the previous episodes. But I'm sure glad I at least watched them or else I would have had no idea why Drake and Brutus are fighting all of a sudden.

The fight scene has some funny moments, for example when Drake drinks some potions or uses magic spells (or the mouse pointer uses the spells, heh). Too bad the animations are so dull here or this might have become a really epic battle. But on the other hand, this is not a stick fight movie or something like that and the animations here do fit in the style of the other of the episodes.

I liked the Final Fantasy Battle theme at the end. This is the best battle theme there is and even though it is used in so many flashes it never gets old.

The graphics are decent here and the animations work quite good, too. I don't quite get the punchline at the end, though. But then again, this is the first "soup" related flash that I watch, so maybe I'm missing something.

Anyway, the question I have is: Do we really need a "SoupSquad"? There used to be a "SocomSquad" some time ago (I wonder what happened to them). Anyway, only time will tell if the SoupSquad can succeed. ;)

I think clock related submissions that aren't from official clocks always have it a bit hard to entertain the audience, if it's not clockday.

I liked this submission. The story is pretty funny and I'm glad that more and more people are fed up with this "ilovegirlgames" stuff (speaking of which, I haven't seen a submission from those dressup bots in a long time. Maybe the redesign broke them?). And I can really understand why SBC can't take it anymore.

The scenes with the stock footage was pretty cool and I think adding the flash characters there can work quite well if it's executed in the right way.

Yeah, I thought I'd fit in some Newgrounds humor.
Thank you for your review!

Hm, the sound quality of Brutus' voice in the brief review of the previous episode is pretty good. No static noises here at all.

Too bad the episode is so short again. Just when you think the story starts to flow there's another cut and another "to be continued". Not very satisfying. :(

Anyway, "Enter Sandman" was put to good use here. I liked how the short sword battle started right when the song started to become heavier. That was good timing there.

MistyE responds:

Yeah, I noticed that from episode 5 around the time this was made so I fixed it. Eventually I forgot to swap out episode 5 with an improved version that doesn't hurt the viewer's ears.

I guess the "to be continued" thing is so you'll wanna watch the next episode, that way more story elements are revealed faster and more new viewers are introduced to the series. Hopefully my new daily award with Adrellia Village will introduce more people to the series.
