It's a nice movie with a quite funny story and good graphics.

Sometimes the movement of the ships seemed a bit weird, but then again, it's only a flash cartoon. Gravity works different in cartoons, right? ^^

I liked the voice acting. All characters had easy to distinguish voices and you also added subtitles for a better understanding.

Keep up the good work!

Yeah I basically threw out being realistic with gravity and such things. All you need is a fish bowl on your head to breath in space in cartoons after all. Anyway thanks for the review.

It's a pretty short flash, but the joke still is quite funny.

The graphics look a bit odd at times, but they are still pretty good.

The voice acting is done pretty good. The announcer sounds like.. well, and announcer. ^^

Not much else to say here except for: Try to make it a little longer! ;)

Well, looks like this was great fun to shoot (haha).

I liked the special effects here. The lasers looked very good. My favorite scene was where you got shot in the back. Everything fitted very well here.
But I still think that those kind of movies are better put on sites like Youtube, regardless if the film was edited in flash or not.

Anyways, the movie is nice, but a bit too short. Also, a little plot would have been nice to have. A short opening scene before you start shooting at each other would have been a good addition to the movie.

Sorry, I don't go on youtube. Props for being the 3rd youtube comment so far though. Out of 47 reviews that's not too bad. We can't really add a plot because that adds length to a movie and length and live action doesn't work good for a file size. Just 15 minutes of video last night turned into over 100 MB. Then we have to compress it to bad quality just to fit it so they really do have to stay short. Thanks for the review.

Well, adding animations to real movies is quite a hard thing to do, and I think it turned out quite well here.

What you now need to work on is the drawing itself. Most of it looked quite ugly. As Coop already said: Zooming in gives you a lot more control of what you are doing. Also, don't be afraid to use the eraser-tool. If a line doesn't look good, use the eraser and draw it again until you are pleased with the result. Even if it may take 100 tries and more. The overall quality of the movie will greatly improve!

Also, the blood didn't look very good. It was just a red line. Some shadings sure would look nice here. There are quite a few good "blood tutorials" on NG. You should watch them and I'm sure that you can learn a lot from them.

SCUMBALL responds:

I know about the blood, but it was my first attempt at frame by frame, and I have learned a lot by then, I can actually draw real people getting stabbed now, isn't that great, more violence for the world, just what we need :).

Yeah, that is true, I guess you can say I don't use the eraser tool :) Thanks for the advice, I'll be sure to use it.

I know, I've seen some blood tutorials, it's all good. Thanks.

Thanks for helping me with the reviews and thanks for the review itself!

The movements of the characters seemed a bit odd. They were standing still and yet their heads moved up and down all the time.
It's ok if they move around a bit while standing, but that was way over the top.

The graphics are decent, but they need a bit more detail. Like that explosion near the end of the movie (in the interactive part, where we get to shoot that vehicle) looked awful.

The voice acting is quite good, but the music is a tad bit too loud. So it's sometimes hard to understand what they are saying.
Luckily you put some subtitles in here, so it wasn't hard to follow the story.

However, I think the subtitles should be put at the bottom of the screen (hence the "sub" in the word "subtitle". ;) ). It just looks better.

I liked the interactive parts a lot. It's something original you put in the movie/trailer. But the "Eject" button was a bit hard to find, so maybe you can point that out a bit better.

This is a great flash. I am especially amazed by the music you put in here. It fits the whole scenery so perfectly. Also, the voice acting is done great!

Only thing is, that the images look a bit blurry sometimes, especially when the camera or the objects on the screen are moving a bit faster. So, a little cleanup here and there sure would be a nice thing to do. :)

A very nice song you chose to animate here.
I think you've done a very good job, even though I wished you had added a bit more scenes to it, but it is still a good flash.

The animations could be a bit smoother overall, and I think a bit more colour would have been nice. But it's ok in bacl and white, too. ;)

I noticed that the subtitles began to show the first verse again, after the song was over (ie the credits ran and the subtitles showed the line "when I was younger so much younger than today"). You may want to change that. ;)

Thank you! I will arrange the problem of subtitles!

What a great collab. I liked the pirate theme and what the authors have made out of it. Also, the music fits in perfectly here. I liked it a lot and it's a milion times better than that awful "You are a pirate"-song that other people may have chosen for such a collab.

I also liked the preloader game, it was a very nice addition.

Not much else to say, as this movie is simply perfect in every aspect...

This is a very nice movie. You made good use of the sprites and animated them quite well. Also the backgrounds look awesome and they fit very well together with the sprites.

The voice acting was done great, but sometimes the voices were a bit too quiet. You should try to edit the volume of the different sound files, so that they all have the same volume.

Subtitles would have been a nice addition. That way you would make sure that everyone gets what is being said the first time through (sometimes the spoken words are a bit difficult to understand, especially for people whose first language isn't english. ;) ). You could then indicate who is speaking with a little picture of the character right next to the text.

Thanks for the review and I will probably do subtitle in my next movie
